Yes, there are many scams out there and also honest webmasters that maybe are not so competent and they often fail too, even if they do their best.
The important thing is to learn what works and what does not.
One rule that I try to follow is not to pay more than I can afford to lose.
I have found some honest people during the years and tried their suggestions and some of them are working. But I am still very cautious when I give them money.
The website in my profile has many opportunities, maybe some of them could interest you. Many are free or low cost.

If you have to pay for the information or material, it's usually a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it's most likely a scam. No you will not make $4-5k a week working from home, lol. The rest is research. If they offer work from home, chances are somebody else has experience with them and posted about it on some website.

If a company requires that you pay a fee to work for them, then it is most likely a scam! Stay away from those types of things if you want to work from home. Use skills you already have (sewing or other crafts, grooming pets, growing houseplants, writing, etc.) to build a reputable home business that is under your control.

Do you have your own home business?
I want to start my own business, but I don't know from where to start.
