i love songs very much. i do not know anything about genres can anyone explain. i want to about songs genres.

Some song genres are R & B, rap/hip hop, alternative, rock, jazz, emo, and classical. Artists that fall into the R & B genre are singers like Usher and Alicia Keys. Rap/Hip Hop are artists like Kanye West, Tupac, and Lil Kim. Alternative music artists are like Backstreet Boys, N Sync, Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson. Rock is like Ozzy Osborne, Green Day, Pink Floyd, and Sting. Jazz music can have people like Louis Armstrong and Kenny G. Emo is artists like Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy. Classical is like Charlotte Church or Mozart. This is the best way I can explain those to you. There are many more genres, those are just the ones that I can think of right now.

Just like amymarywest said in her post, genre is another word for "type of". It's just the different types of music. Artists with the same kind of music fit into the same genre, or type. Basically, when you say genres of music, you're saying types or groups of music.

Genres are like types of Music such as Classical music is a Genre.
Its similar to books! you get Horror Genres
Genre is just a posh word for Type of
