NASA plans to visit the Sun

For more than 400 years, astronomers have studied the sun from afar.
Now NASA has decided to go there....
The name of the mission is Solar Probe+.
It's a heat - resistant spacecraft designed to plunge deep into the sun's atmosphere where it can sample solar wind and magnetism first hand.
Launch could happen as early as 2015. By the time the mission ends in 7 years later, planners believe Solar Probe+ will solve two gret mysteries of astrphysics and make many new discoveries along the way.The two mysteries prompting the mission are the high temperature of sun's corona and the puzzling accceleration of solar winds.
What you people thought about this Mission of NASA....

Personally I don't think they can do it, but the main question is why do it? They are going to spend a lot of money which could be used for more worth while projects.Anyway they should at least first finish what they have started like the Moon and Mars, why study the sun when they can't even finish these projects?

I thought the mission is impossible because on the earth there no such item that resists against heat I beleive that mission is impossible I thought Nasa has not sait it its a rumour I think

Oh God is it safe?It's been a long time that Astronauts are planning this mission. Maybe the sun is a very difficult mission and requires careful planning. If this plan will push true I hope everything will be successful and everybody involved are safe.
