OMG! Spongebob rocks! It's funny. And if they didn't act weird, it wouldn't be as funny!

I think it is all a bunch of hype started by people who want to cause a problem where there is none. I don't see anything wrong with Sponge Bob, I really don't even get how is could be a "gay" show. So patrick is pink, IRL a lot of starfish are. Pre-spongebob, I bet kids would say they were pink (or peach)! To me, SpongeBob and Patrick act like kids and they are acting how kids really act.

Yeah ive heard about this before. I can see why so many gays would love this show, there are some episodes that they act gay like the one when there parents and they babysit the clamshell and patrick says lets have another one. Also they were in a wrestling match really muscular then they were hugging eachother at the end in there tightys so they do act gay at times lol.

SPONGE BOB AND PATRICK aren't gay... THEY ARE COOL AND CUTE! That's all... I hate the fact that even cartoons now are being accused as one. LOL they do not have their minds of their own to choose to be like that... so how can it be seen as a gay cartoon?!

i think thats insane. they try and take simple innocent things and turn them into big into unneeded controversies.

So what if he is pink... They even have t-shirts now that say real men wear pink. I have at least 3 pink shirts in my closet. Nah I don't believe the creator's intention was for them to be perceived as gay.

Someone is always starting these crazy things. I don't think of it as a gay cartoon. I love to watch Spongebob squarepants. As for my favorite, that's a hard decision, but I think it would be spongebob.

That just shows how stupid Dobson and Focus on the Family is.

Are people that bored with their lives that they have to find random cartoons to pick on and read things into? I've watched Spongebob a lot. My children love that show even though I think it's completely retarded. Even if they were both gay I wouldn't care. Its a freaking cartoon so what. Hell if you think about it Bert and Ernie from Sesame street where the gayest puppets of all time. No one cared then, and trust me they don't care now. I think people should stop trying to find hidden meanings in everything and just let a show be a show.

I don't believe that either, but you know they try to make stuff stand for something. I LOVE Spongebob. I really can't pick a favorite character because they each have something I like equally about them. I like that one episode with the hairy pink bull worm when Sandy said "Aaaain't nothing..". LOL!!

I love Spongebob and Patrick, too, and I don't care if they're a national gay cartoon or not. I've been watching that cartoon since it first came out and it's one of my and my grandsons' favorites. It's hard to decide who I like the best but those two are my top two favs, followed by Mr. Crab.

Yes I know this cartoon and I have never seen such dumb characters before and Patrick is the Dumbest. Some episodes which include Squidward and jellyfishes are entertaining.

What a strange cartoon indeed... gay? I dunno about that, its not like they ever french kiss or named it hung-bob no pants. Under this rule system the simpsons engage in incest because bart and lisa hugged once, its just silly.... Patrick is a pink star because he is a starfish, some starfish are pink. welcome to earth.

You're kidding me right? That has to be one of the most rediculous things I've ever heard. Where did you hear this? I'm not familiar with the "National Gay Cartoon". I like Patrick. My kids are older....well not much older 11 and 13 but they still watch it. I don't see anything wrong with it. Sponge Bob can be annoying but other than that I think it's a funny cartoon.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It's like when the said tinky-winkie (purple teletubbie) was gay. Conservatives are obsessed with the sexuality of cartoon characters. I don't know why and I, personally, find it disturbing. Cartoon characters, especially the kids ones, have no genitals that I've ever seen (nor would want to see, as I'm bot sick).

That is an abomination! I don't really care if he's gay or not. As you may see I really like Spongebob and one of these days I might marry him. LOL. Spongebob is fun and watching one of his episodes is enough to lift up your spirits.
