Board Games! Do you still play 'em? How long?

When i was younger, i'd play board games with my parents and brother. Like my dad I'm a fan of the RPG style games like Hero Quest and D&D, but we've had lots of different games over the years through many genres. When i go to visit my parents now its like a routine that i'll be given at least one manual to read so we can play one of the newer games. My favourite game of all time, is Axis & Allies. Big board, lots of pieces and great gameplay. Some of the greats are available these days as play-by-email. usually the turn-based strategies, but if you like that type of game then search for them on the net as that might keep you interested longer.

Oh yes, in my family we still play board games and our favourite are the good old Monopoly and Scrabble, played in a few languages at the same time (English, Spanish and German!) Carcassone is also a favourite as is Sorry!

Yeah I still have all my old board games! My family and I play them from time to time, a lot of fun. Monopoly is the best and always a classic I think.

we always play scrabble before when we had lots of time together for bonding..and that was before we had a PC here in our house..hehehe i have also enjoyed playing snakes and ladder to and chess..but now we are always in front of the PC either playing games or checking our mails and do some stuffs.

i love monopoly.. the game of life is ok but too limited.. clue was cool

I can't remember the last time I played a board game . When I was a wee wee little kid I used to love the game candy land From what I was told I would always cheat at it . My gram and me used to have a good time playing go fish , but that is a card game Growing up I played a few games with my parents and brother like : Bingo , jeopardy and Monopoly . I used to like monopoly best because I would buy all nyc places and things by the water . I really havent played any since . I do have a few somewhere in the house , but my fiance wont play with me because he says its not fun if you dont have a big bunch of people . I even bought his favorite game glue and he never played .Seems I need a game partner

We still play board games from time to time. My husband loves Monopoly but I tend to get bored after awhile. I like trivia games such as Trivial Pursuit. I also enjoy, Yahtzee, Sorry, Scattergories and once in awhile, Life. When we go visit my husband's parents we usually end up playing Scrabble and UpWords. I usually win.

I can't even remember the last time that I have played a board game. When I was young I did and they were fun. Monopoly, Shuts and Ladders, Candy Land, those are the ones that I can remember. But like I have said it has been a long, long, time since I have played a board game. Have a good one. You brought the thought of wanting to play back to mind. Funny thing is I don't have one board game around at all. Still though have a good one.

I still play board games. I think my favorite is scrabble. though I like backgammon, its been harder to find someone to play with these days. I work with the homeless an most of them can spell so it works out for the scrabbler in me!!

Yeah where is the time... I used to play a lot of board games when I was a child. I remember I always played this board game "Goose Board" (I don't know if it is the correct english term though). I think Goose Board is pretty boring now..lol. But I do still play some other board games which I like very much. For example: I still like Cluedo, Risk and Chess. Especially chess I still play frequently these days. You're right about Cluedo to, it's a game that never gets boring. Haha, I'm still having a lot of fun with that game, laughing with and teasing my friends who the killer is... But still my favourite stays and'll always stays the old fashioned Chess game.

I really like to play some board games with friends, just for the fun of doing things together with friends. But 'the kolonist of catan' is a game i also really can enjoy as a game.

Oh my family loves board games. Its a great way to hang out together and we get real competitive in a fun way!! The winner even does victory laps around the house and the losers HAVE to cheer for them! HEEHE it sos fun! Its been fun to see our board games change over the years as the kids grow up.

hi im 26 and i still play monopley, but it doesn't last long prob the same time as you 2 weeks. also i know it's not a borad game but i also like to play cards but then again it doesn't last

I love the game Stratego, and I'm trying my hardest to find laser chess. If anyone has heard of where I can get it, let me know. Also, my girlfriend has gotten me back into a Yahtzee kick.

I like to play Othello, Cranium and Scrabble.

I used to like board games. I havent played any since Christmas time when my nephews got some board games. I wish that I had some here that I liked to play. They are pretty time consuming.

I play board games with my 12 year old daughter. Lately our favorite is a game called Mancala. We also like to play Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? We play Chess, Backgammon, and lost of card games. It's a nice break from all the digital games around us.

My favourite board game has always been Scrabble. Mom used to let me play with her when I was little and just learning to read (must have been boring for her) and now I play with my husband when we have the time.
