Hi relundad. Absolutely. They are my kids like my daughter. We are a family. They love us and we love them. When I need to think about an important thing that can alterate our routine I ever include them and thing about what is better to all of us. Many times I didn't some things because it could disturb them.

Do you consider your son, daughter, father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt, etc. family? Well then, why wouldn't you consider your pet as family? They are more loyal than some family members.....

Yes. Everyone loves him and we all consider him a part of the family. I tell my parents all the time "thats your grandson" as i don't plan on having real kids. My dog is my child.
He gets gifts on Christmas and his birthday and special dinners on those days as well just like a human would and He even acts so human sometimes too its pretty funny.

I have an inside cat and a dog plus 2 more dogs that live outside. And they are all apart of my family. My cat is like my little kid in ways.

I consider all my pets past and present as part of the 'family'. I don't however treat them as children.
We are a multi-species PACK who all try to live together in harmony. I'd like to say I'm the leader of the pack but we are all ruled by the QUEEN of course! My 4 year old female cat! She's only small, is the same age as my female GSD who is 10 times her weight, and half the size of my 18 year old male cat, but they obey her, the fish ignore her, the frogs are fascinated by her and she knows just how to charm the humans especially the males.
I wish I was a Cat .....

Hi relundad, actually we don't have any pets at home, we are not advised to have one because most of us has an allergy.
But, in my opinion pets must be also take care with love as member of the family, they are also have the rights like human, They deserve a fair treatment as well.
Thanks and good day!

I see. Actually they type dog that I have is supposed to be really good with people that are normally allergic to dogs or cats. The breed is called a Maltese. Even though their hair grows very long it does not shed. The only color that they are breed is white. If you are interested in getting a dog, you may want to do some research.

Yes, absolutely!!! We have 2 boxers, a 7 year old female and 3 year old male and they are both members of our family. We take them out with us when possible, to the beach, to the park, etc., etc.. Our male, Marley, even gets in the pool with the kids. Our female, Daisy, thinks she's the kids' mommy. She follows them everywhere, keeping an eye on them and snuggles on the sofa with them. We're hoping to take a trip to the lake this summer and will be brining them with us.

Yes I think a pet deserve to be considered as part of the family...it depends on the familial context whether it accepts a pet as part of the family or not..but I personally consider my pet to be part of my life...

I think my pets think that they are part of the family. My two cats want to sleep near me, also now that is awfully hot during the night. My dog want to be embraced and barks if you don't. But the most weird thing is that if he sees you kiss someone he wants attentions too.

My "son" T.C. (stands for Theodore Calvin) will be 10 years old come December 2008. He's a Turkish Bluepoint/Persian mix feline, and as far as I'm conserned, he IS family. I've had other pets, such as being raised with dogs, but loved all the others just as much. (2 Border Collies, 1 Golden Lab, a Rat, 3 Ferrets, 2 American Eskimo brothers, 2 brother & sister Huskies.)
I now, along with my "son", live with 4 other cats and a Cockapoo who thinks it's a cat too. They all get along perfectly. Even if ONE of them goes to the vet, the others display a sort of sadness, when their "friend" is missing, and get extremely excited when they return. They behave in the same fashion with either me or my girlfriend when we go out for even just a short jont. Family? YES!
