fear of painting!!!

I really don't know how to start. long time ago when i started painting (oil painting) i was full of enthusiasm, i wasn't afraid of doing mistakes and i didn't know the academic right way of painting. I was just enjoying my time while painting. Now am afraid of painting, may be because i learned the right way of how to paint on the style i like. I always have these thoughts that i will miss up the painting and i will fail to do it as i want, so i stopped painting. I just look at the white canvas and the palate in my room with no idea how to start again and get red of these bad thoughts.. I really do like painting but i need to get back my enthusiasm..
so what do you think did you ever feel the same way i do??!

i dont know how to paint and that i dont have any hesitation or whatever like you do now...i guess its just what you think ..try doing it again and lets see the result.. its always scary to start fresh..stop thinking negatively just express what you feel on the canvas

Painting is an art.To be able to paint requires a lot gift and talent.While it is true that sometimes we feel bad about the results, I suggest that you set aside these thoughts and learn fro your mistakes.It is a progression where your knowledge is a self-enhanced medium that continually improves every step of the way.Be proud that you are an artist.Remember to set your sight on details further learn by observation and criticism.
