using cellphones in school is right or wrong?

hai, if you asking me, i will say YES! why? because if we look for future, cellphone is a must have gadget in everyone. As we know, many of kidnapping is happened to student. I asking, where this student want to searching for help? cellphone is the answer! And, i want to tell you that, parent will easy to contact thier children if anything emergency happen. but, in this case, the school must understand today situation. not to look back again, look for future, cellphone is very good and nothing goes wrong use it in school.

In our school, bringing of cellphones is allowed but using it in front of the teachers is only allowed to the elementary students, but for the high school students, they have to go to a certain office where they will have to ask permission from the people there to use their cellphones. I think it kinda right because when in times of emergencies, they can immediately call their parents or guardians. On the other hand, I also think it's kinda wrong because students can use the cellphone as a 'cheating device'. Using a cellphone in school has its own advantages and disadvantages but it's still only on my opinion!

I think it is not necessary to prohibit the use of cellphone in school. But during class ,cellphone should be turn off, because phone calls would disturb the going on of lessons. During recess, it ought to be allowed using of cellphone.

I think using cellphone while in the class inside the classroom is very wrong but using cellphone.But using cellphone after class then that is not wrong.Let say using cellphone in classroom while in the class studying is very rude,becouse we are not the only person there and everybody go to school to study.But i am agree that you can bring it w/ you in silent mode so if there is emergency you can still see the message or you can see who is calling than you can ask permissions to go out to call the person back if its really important,but if the call is only for nonsense i rather continue studying that recieving nonsense call.But outside classromm then in my opinion the school should have not difficult about it.I understand that cellphone is very important also to recieved message to our loveone etc and emergency.have a nice day! As what other users have commented, cellphones shouldn't be allowed during class hours even more during exams. I also think that cellphones are big distractions for students that's why they should limit the use of them. Also here in the Philippines there is a directive that bans the use of cellphones by students during class hours.
