Use of toxic chemicals in foods

The use of extremly harmful chemicals for ripening fruits continues unbated, as is evident from a photograph published in the newspaper few days ago. it shows how bananas are soaked in toxic chemicals in utter disregrad of the law and the physicals well deing of unsuspecting consumers. Obviously, the consumers do not know that are actually ingesting poison with the delicious fruit.

I reckon there are so many things like this where we don't know what has gone into our foods and we would just never know! I also truly believe that they don't always put the exact ingredients on packaging all the time but how would we ever know?? x
