Funny Story - Black Beans Chicken, Medium Spicy

You may wonder what the relation of this title to life. I just made an email blooper to my boss few days ago. And I'm going to tell you my story about it.
I received an email from my boss asking on the updates of our projects. So I replied back and sent to him the report he asked. The following day I received an email again from my boss and I was surprised to see the title of his email 'Black Beans Chicken, Medium Spicy'. I was puzzled about why he would send me such funny email and I wonder what his mail was all about so I checked the contents and I was surprised that he just replied back to the report that I just sent him the other day. I wonder how on earth I typed that title of my report when our project is about machine installation.
I felt embarrassed, accusing him of sending me funny emails unaware that the title came from me. So I just replied back to his email and just changed the title, pretending not to know about that 'chicken' thing. I don't really remember that I typed that silly title so I thought it may be due to a bug in the email system.
Do you have any similar experience? If you were me, would you try to explain the silly title to my boss or do the same I did, pretending not to know about it?

Oh that is so funny, perhaps you hadn't put a header and it was from something else you had been searching for or something, either way I think that as long as he received the report and replied and your work within it was fine that is all that matters. I would have changed the title in my second response like you did but when I saw my boss mention it and have a giigle about it. The one thing we all manage to do in life is make mistakes, especially with emails. Ellie :D1 person likes this

I guess so Ellie, because I was also doing something that time besides sending the report to my boss. It's a good thing that he never asked about it, that was so embarrassing. But that experience made me laugh and realize that I guess he is more lenient than I am since he never got furious about receiving funny title or reports for supposed to be serious matters.

hehehe. Yup, nobody's perfect anyway. At least he was happy with my report, so maybe he just neglected the title. I still wonder what he thinks though because I haven't talked to him about it. He's based in the US and I'm here in the Philippines.
