Sometimes we take too many things for granted and sometimes we are too busy making a living to really think about whether we are really alive or just existing. Before we know it, we realize we have grown old and grey and as we look back at our life we discover that we have not been living at all but merely existing. Have you lately taken stock of your life and are you satisfied with the way you have been living it?

I am very satisfied with my life. I have a loving hubby, a wonderful boy, a whole package of supporting family and I feel that God always watching me and my family. But as a human, I am still trying to be a better person with a better achievement because if I dont do it, I will be a stagnant person.

Well I am definitely satisfied with my life despite of working hard to earn for a living. I am satisfied because I still have my family and friends and I know God is with me always.

Yes at 61 years of age I have taken a long look at my life and have come to the conclusion that it has turned out to be what it has mainly because of the decissions that I made over time. Discisions that at the time looked good to me but I never took time to look at what might happen down the road. As far as just existing now adays, I believe a lot of people are just existing, because of the decission to buy a house they could not really afford, or the credit card debt they find themselves in now. That the live from paycheck to pay check with nothing in between that they have to fall back on, every cent they get is used to pay off these debts they have placed themselves into, and to me that is barely existing. Living I guess to me is being able to breathe without someone on the phone or in the mail threating to take our home or sue us for bills we can not pay. Things are running smoothly and we buy something we really would not die without and one more debt, most of us just survive, not really living just hoping to get through till the next day.

You are so right. It seems that no one really takes the time to smell the roses. What seems to matter to a lot of us are material possessions which we try so hard to accumulate even if its beyond our means. I hope you are satisfied and content with the way your life has turned out to be.Thanks for sharing

Well I would have to say that I am somewhat content, but I am in no way satisfied with my life right now.I have learned to accept what I can not change.I have been disabled for the last 22 years. I was 34 when I became disabled.I wish I could still be working, and earning a good living, but instead I am living on social security disability.I can no longer do so many of the things that I used to do.I do not look old, do not have gray hair, I am 56 years old. I feel young inside but my body feels old.

Hi sunkissed.I hope you are feeling better today. I admire you for being able to say you are content despite what you have gone through and and are going through and despite not having been able to do what you really want to do and have the courage to accept the things which you cannot change. Very few would have that courage. I wish you well. P.S. Nice to know you feel young inside and don't look old. That means you are aging gracefully.

I find it hard to agree that most humans are dissatisfied with their lives. i think that while many are not satisfied with the life they are living, many more are satisfied with their lives. in fact, i think most of the people on earth are satisfied. While some may have wished for a better life or while some may have a life different from what they dreamed about, more often than not, they are still satisfied with the way things have worked out. It would be very sad if majority of humans are a dissatisfied lot. That means most people are unhappy and I hope that's not true.
