Hello,..... The giant poverty is a creation of our society from the beginning.it will never end unless they rise to the occasion. My government has been striving since 1980 to eradicate poverty from the country.with this purpose many schemes have been created and a lot of money is being spent for this purpose but the proportion of poor still persists. rather it has become for some a good source of income.in one occasion the late Prime minister had said that almost 89% of every rupee was going in to the pockets of the corrupt officials and politicians who are incharge of executing the programs.this might be happening in every country for which the poverty still found every where.thanx.

I guess it will take a lot of effort from everybody to really end poverty. It will take big responsibility for those that are rich and the poor as well. Of course when the rich would share their wealth the poor must act like they will not waste the money because it is given for free. I guess doing that will be at most near impossibility. it is just hard that these things would happen as many are covered by greed for wealth and would not allow just to share this wealth they got to everybody. And in the case of the poor people some are just plain lazy that is why they are poor and when they are given this chance to end the poverty they would become more lazy to exert effort anymore.

Yes, Its not that easy to give if the money will not be used to worthwhile things and projects that can change lives.

In theory it would be possible. But the human nature is one of greed and wanting to do better than the next person. Therefore, even if you have abundance, you hold on to it. If you wanted to eliminate poverty, you would need equal distribution of goods to everybody. Sounds communist doesn't it? There is a reason why the communist systems all fail, lol.
Maybe we eventually learn that materialism isn't the way to happiness. But I don't foresee that to happen anytime soon.

Thats the right word, equal distribution. I agree with you but there should be a limit so those who are lazy will be forced to work to be responsible citizen.

Unfourtanently I do not believe that their will always be poverty on earth. In some countrie there is just rish and poor. Starving children with no home or clothing and their rich doesnt seem to care. In the USA our government is trying to feed other countries starving families even though a lot of their own people are starving...

I agree with you. USA is one of the biggest aid provider in the world. I wonder what is happening to the poor in the US?

If humans weren't greedy by nature, I don't think there would be poverty anywhere. I think it is that people are too intent on haing more than the next person and keeping up with the rich and getting richer than they are, and re-deining rich.
Think of the POOR people in America. Even they are rich by the standards of a homeless family in Ethiopia, for example.

it's impossible to end poverty on earth.the world must be contain rich and poor.and the richer often tyrannize to the poorer.it's natural.just like power country bully some small country.if everyone like peace and be kindness.i think the world will get more and more beautiful.and the richer will happy to help the poorer.

I guess it depends on each and everyone of us,especially the unfortunate ones.I dont think its all the government fault why the average of unfortunate people is becoming bigger. We keep on relying to them, why dont we rely to our selves.
