Is it just me, or have hollywood celebrities stepped out more than usual this year to endorse the candidates of their choice? I don't remember this happening so much in past elections. Did it start when Chuck Norris endorsed Mike Huckabee in his primary run, and then escalate from there?

This is one of the things that absolutely drives me nuts. I will not vote for a candidate based on a celebrity endorsal. Have you seen their lives? I certainly don't think that they have any more credibility in weighing in on politics than others. Frankly, it's a turnoff to me when so many celebrities are involved.

It should be a huge turnoff to everyone. Their endorsements shouldn't mean anymore than mine. But I don't have the media flocking around me and hanging onto my words. The celebrities do, and I think it's a shame for them to use their media attention as a pulpit to campaign for their favorite candidate.
