I eat oatmeal all the time. I am getting bored with it though. What do you add to your oatmeal to make it interesting??

Oatmeal is such a healthy food to have for breakfast. It will usually hold hunger at bay for several hours. It is also good for colestarol(sp) I like to make mine with Maple flavoring, raisins, Brown sugar then add butter. I also like add molasses for a different taste. Sometimes I add walnuts or pecans. how about favoring and sweeting it with some preserves like peaches or strawberries like they put into the instant oatmeal.

I love to add brown sugar and rasins to mine. Sometimes I even add maple syrup and brown sugar. Fresh fruit is always nice and refreshing in oatmeal. Oatmeal is one of those foods that you can add just about anything at all that you like and it will taste good.

My grandfather always used to add a generous splash of whiskey to his. I make mine with Very Vanilla soy milk, so it's got a fun, vanilla-y taste to it. I'll also add chopped dehydrated fruits like dates, apricots, and currants to it. Cinnamon is always a nice addition, and so is maple syrup.
