Is it possible to improve one's sixth sense?

Some people have the capability to increase their power of mind. I have seen people teaching others the way they can use their power of mind to bend iron rods etc. Similarly can one improve one's sixth sense by increasing ones power of mind? Or its just a God gift.

I found people's sixth sense are usually take effect on the people who love you and you love most, for example your parents, your lover. so if you put your heart into someone, your sixth sense tend to take effect most.just my opinion;)
