Do you like having MORE friends or FEWER friends in MyLot?

I usually accept most people who send me friend requests. I like having lots of friends in MyLot because it shows me more discussions on my front page. I can randomly go check other categories as well, but I do prefer having more friends.
Once in awhile I will send a friend request to others, but mostly I just get my friends by accepting the requests sent to me -- which is little effort!
Which do you prefer? Having lots of friends or not so many, and do you send many requests yourself or primarily gain friends by accepting others' requests? Please share your preferences.

I would love to have lots of mylot friends that share my interests. I'm just not sure why people send me friend requests and then go inactive. I've only been here about a month and it seems half my list is inactive for some reason.
I havent refused any requests but I might have to delete some to make it easier to find the ones that I actually respond to regularly.
I guess my answer to your question is that I like to have lots of active friends!
Cheers, Tianna

Yes, many people do go inactive and it's unfortunate. The worst is when your referrals go inactive! *tears*

That's not necessarily true. If you get referrals you will earn more income if they are active, but simply having more friends doesn't earn you more cash...

the more the merrier. if i get a request then i accept it. i turn on the notifications too. its fun to know what kind of topic they start. and because i am a year old member i am more on responding and not much on starting my own discussion. so if i have a lot of friends then it is easier for me to response on some discussion than searching for a discussion at mylot. but i still do look around after i respond the one i can on my friends discussion. it comes both ways i send some request and sometimes i get a request

Well I just joined this site but I am a people person so the more friends the better. I enjoy talking with others from all around the world. I've not quite figured this whole site out yet but if you want to be my friend..well do whatever you have to do and I will add you. :)

To be honest I prefer to have fewer friends, fewer 'true' friends than fairweather friends who are just mere acquaintances, I am a friendly person and I like to get close to my friends, you can't do that when you have a hundred friends can you? When you have a small circle of good, close friends then you can interact more, get more informal and it's more cosy, it's very difficult to keep on top of pages of friends. I did that on the other site, whereas some people boast that they have thousands of friends, I mean how can you possibly get to know 1,000 friends? I have 100 friends which is far more manageable, admittedly I do have a small circle of friends who I email, text and I am more fully acquainted with. I think firm, true friends are platignum and you can probably count them on one hand. How are you also expected to respond to all of your friends discussions when you have 1000 friends? Not enough hours in the day!

Bethany1202, I love friends from all walks of life; they help me see sides of life I never dared to tread on before. Mylot has been a wonder vehicle to explore outside my comfort zone. I accept most requests to be friends. I love responding to topics from my friends list, I feel it helps me get to know them better without being intrusive into their lives. More friends is More better! (:

I say, the more the merrier! I do like having friends who share some of my same interests, but I rarely refuse a friend.
In fact, I was quite surprised when I arrived here and read that some folks don't accept friendship until a person has posted at least 100 (some said 500) comments. I've never been at a site where folks have been that way before.
I think I have about a dozen friends here. Not many, and mostly because after I read the comments from folks when I first arrived here about not wanting "newbie" friends, I gave up asking.
At another social network type site that also pays in points or cash, I check this morning and I have 850 friends. That's what I prefer. :-)

I will useally except a friend if I see one is asking me to accept them. I don't like just going to anyone and asking them to add me as a friend. I have about 11 or 12 on my list now and their all very nice and are active in here in mylot. As far as haveing alot or a little bit of friends either way is fine with me i'm not picky.

I love to have more friends on MyLot.
If someone send me a fried request, I'll accept it even if I have no idea who he/she is.

Hi dear,
Fewer are better
i think i am on mylot since 7-8 months now, and i have 59 friends in the list, i had few more but they were in active since 3-4 months
i dont want to add more friends as i know i wont be able to handle them, all of my friends are from my lot and i know not all but bit about them, out of 59, i think i have 9 with which i communicate other than Mylot as well.
but i also never deny any request if some onr want to add me, and why should i , so most of friends are those who added me and sure there are many for which i took the initiative and send them friends request
i want to have friends circle with long lasting relation and enjoy it
Take care

more friends means more discussions to me and more views on the discussion that i start so i like having more friends instead of few ... after all this place is to discuss and get as many views as possible.

I also want to have more friends here in myLot. These friends keeps me posting more responses as I switch my notifications to almost all of them. When I open my email inbox, I almost forgot that I have something more to do in the office. Notifications of new discussions from mylot come in bulk. More friends for me, boosts my earnings, and that's the reason thank all of them, I already earned enough and qualified for July's payout.

I like to have many friends here on the lot , but not too many where it is crazy . I can't see ever have more than a few 100 . It is nice all the people you can meet from all over the world . I know people that have way too many and there is no way they can keep up with everyoe .Sure , one of the frist things I do in the morning is check what my friends had posted , it is like giving them a helpig hand
