Take a sample of water (in a clean glass container) to our fish store and have them test it for you. There might be chlorine or chloramine in your water and these will kill your fish. You need to get rid of them by putting in chemicals that will render them harmless. also did you clean out the tank first? If so did you use soap in it? That is a big NO NO. A new tank is not "cycled and the ammonia that is given off by fish is not good for the fish. When ammonia builds up there will be a bacteria the will eat it and produce nitrite which is also dangerous to fish. But then another type of bacteria will eat the nitrite and turn it into nitrate which is not as bad but should be kept to less than 20 ppm. It takes a while for these bacteria to grow into enough to fully "cycle" the tank. It is also called the nitrogen cycle.
