http://ktla.trb.com/news/ktla-baby-killed,0,3769724.story This is one of worst I seen. A man was shot while beating up his own son. The boy 2 years old pronounced dead. The officer who shot the cold hearted father was put on paid leave while they investigate this. How is it possible the police officer who was only trying to protect the child be under investigation. Where is the justice here?

I don't think the officer will get fired. He is on paid leave. I think it is standered policy to investigate any shootings by police oficers. It just makes sure that he made the right call and isn't out shooting people just to be shooting people. We all know he more than likely made the best call in that situation.

I hope so, it is horrible for this to happen to the child and then hear it affects the police officer's record/ conduct.

I suppose they have to investigate all these kind of things when it has to do with the officers so nobody can say later that he did it without a cause. I suppose it protects both the officer and the police department. But, it is sad that this does seem to mean more to them than the boy's Dad killing him! I wouldn't have had a problem even if the officer's bullet had killed the man! It is sad that so many parents are killing their children. This was an innocent 2 year old and couldn't have done that much for the man to kill him! Hopefully he will get life!

I hope so, the boy did not deserve this and why on earth would a father kill his own son. I wish this world was only full of parents who really wanted and is ready to be a parent.!

I agree with you. It sounds like the police officer was oly doing his job, and trying to protect the little boy. It doesn't slund like the officer was unreasonable in the use of his weapon, just that he did what he needed to do considering the situation. I'm glad he's still getting paid, though.

I hope they dismiss the officer of any wrong doing. It is evil how the system works against those that put their lives on the line to protect our community.
