Would you like to take a few moments to introduce your
cats and kittens?
Well, we have three cats now.
The oldest one is male, named Big man.
He was a kitten, stray when we adopted him about ten years ago.
He was begging for food in the front of a
mini-mart near our house and we couldn't just
leave him there to starve.
Noone was feeding him.
They didn't mind feeding the other kitten that lived
there, but they could not spare even a bit of scraps for him.
He's been my little boy ever since.
Then there is EB, the princess and Queen.
She has never had babies and acts so spoiled and pampered.
She's a mama's girl and likes to sit on my lap while I type.
She is extremely jealous and doesn't want the other cats
to be around me.
Then there is Little buddy and she is my daughter's kitten.
She was part of an outdoor litter from a cat that lives
in our front yard.
Her cat sibling went missing a little bit before we
adopted Little Buddy.
We think someone came up into our yard and took her off.
She was an adorable orange kitten and they are very popular.
We were always worried that Little buddy would run into the road
and be struck by cars. So we took her in.
She has a much better life now.
She wouldn't have lived long outdoors, cause the cats
kept harrassing her.
Would you like to talk about your cat?
Please share any funny cat stories you have.
Thanks!

Great, another cat lover:)
I have 4 cats at the time being.
We have a red cat called 'Beertje', he's male and a real cuddly thing.
Second is 'Daisy' a white female who's the fostering mother of the gang.
Third is 'Poekie' a black and white male who likes to yell and scream in the middle of the night when he suddenly is desperatly longing for human companionship.
And last but not least is 'DJ', she's a tortoise (I believe that's how you call this colour?) of about 1 and a half years old but never grew very big. She likes to sit on your shoulder and pees in the toilet... odd thing, I love her:)
I added a piccy, unfortunatly they aren't in there all 4. I'll post the other one later!

Hello to all your kitties! What an impressive group of cats.
And I thought that I was a cat person.
I'm happy to hear that your brood of cats are doing well!
P.S. Love those names! Where did you get such creative names?

My husband and I both have ccats of our own, cats that we had before we met eachother.
My cat is Shakti, a balaese siamese cross (male) who is the colour of really good vanilla ice cream, with little bits of orange in him.
My husband's cat is Mysti, (female) a calico with some extremely unique and distinctive markings.
We're both major cat people.

We don't have cats in our household. It's not my household. It belongs to my brother and they have dogs. The latest addition is a frisky little puppy called "Pangit" which means "Ugly" in the Visayan language.

We have two cats (and two dogs, but you didn't ask about them).
Piewacket is about 5 years old. We inherited her when hubby's dad moved from a huge house on a huge lot on a huge cul-de-sac community. Pie wandered the neighborhood there.
We live in a smaller house, with a smaller yard and on a cul-de-sac, but a much busier street where no one goes the speed limit. We had to confine her to the house when she first got here and that didn't make her very happy.
Now..she takes a 30 minute walk with hubby each night when he gets home from work...on a leash. Yes, that's right. She walks on a leash and loves it.
She's short-haired, gray and white, and quite the queen of the residence.
In November of 2006, we rescued a 6 month old kitten from a no-kill shelter. I guess that makes her 2 years old now.
Opera is different. She's a medium to long-haired cat. She eats all the time, but cannot seem to gain any weight. The vet is as stumped as we are. She appears to be healthy, except that she's skin and bones. It's not apparent by looking at her, since she has so much hair. But when you hold her it's rather pitiful.
Opera cannot learn to stay off tables and kitchen counters. She loves finding "treasures" - like my watch! - on the counter, batting them to the floor, then chasing them around the house.
Before we got our two dogs, Opera use to take whatever treasure she found (toy or otherwise) onto our bed and play with it there.
She used to run ahead of us wherever we were going in the house, then plop down in front of us showing us her belly. Of course we thought she wanted her belly rubbed, but when we reached down to do that, she'd look at us as if saying, "What are you doing?!?" and run away.
Both of our cats talk. Pie is quite verbal when she wants her long walk.
Opera talks and it almost sounds like she's saying, "Mama" or "Marilyn".
After all this time, Opera is finally becoming socialized. She still purrs continually. Anything that gives her joy or enjoyment makes her purr - being on my lap, eating food, chasing toys. She purrs at all of those.
Pie, though, has a very quiet purr that you can hardly hear, but can feel when she's in your lap.
Pie loves hubby best, and sits on his keyboard when he's on the computer. She's tried that on my keyboard, but my computer is set up differently and it doesn't work as well. Besides, I'm not him.

The first cat we had was Max.I really don't know what his breed was.I've search the net but i can't point which family he came from.My husband saw me straying around. He just stayed with us for only a week. The the first time he ran out,he came back the next morning. But the second time,we never saw him again nor returned home. The second one....she was given to us same thing breed unknown. My kids called her Maxine the first day and now they're calling her Max..still.The problem with this cat is that they only eat cat food, very expensive,an additional expense lol.I get to like her because she poop inside the bathroom...though she gave me a scratch during bath time ouch it really hurts!

I just have one cat, Trinitie. We got her when she was just a tiny baby kitten. She was 4 months old, but so small that the vet swore she couldn't be more than 6 weeks old! She had worms, and that was why she was so small. The owners she had before never took her to the vet! Anyway, she will be, or she just turned 3 (we were told she was born the week before the 4th of July, but we don't know the exact date). She's still pretty small, even though she is obviously full grown.
The picture I'm including is a recent picture of Trinitie. She loves to sleep in the corner under the shelves in our storage area! She LOVES diapers!

My kittens name is Oreo.We named her that because we werent sure at the time if she was a boy or a girl so we figured the name could go for a boy or a girl.LOL.My husband just brought her home 3 days ago.I told him to wait as we have 2 guinea pigs and a old hamster. But instead he bought her home. After I wacked him a couple of times(just kidding .LOL.)I got used to her these past days. She has got the bluest eyes.We got her form a lady who sent a post out on the freecycle near our area and that her cat had had babies. So many cats though these days and not enough people to take them.I wish I could have alot of animals but I cant due to having two little ones and the guniea pigs and the hamster.I caught my daugher wrapping her in a towel and my son taking his pretend stethoscope on the cat.LOL.I had to tell them to put her down. But I have heard that cats are good pets as they lower blood pressure.

We have one cat and his name is Wilbur LOL!! We have had him for six years now. My husband delivers mail and at the time he delivered mail to an elderly couple. They started getting in bad health and wanted to give Wilbur to a family with kids. They asked my husband if we would like to have him and the kids and I were very glad to hear about him.
The day my husband brought Wilbur home he was in a small cat carrier, the only one we could find. He was one scared kitty!! My husband called me while they were on the way home and I could hear him meowing in the back ground, very loudly poor kitty. When they got home we took him to the laundry room where we had a litter box and bed all set up for him. When we let him out of the cage he started purring like crazy LOL!! He has a very loud purr. He was so happy to get out of that carrier!!
Wilbur has started doing something very funny the last few days. We will get to looking for him and he will be in the laundry room bathroom in the sink, just curled up looking cute!! He is a lot of entertainment to our family!!

My cat-child is Misu Soup and she just turned 5 years old in April. I got her from a girl I worked in the ER with. We were so clean at that hospital that Misu became the ER pet and would get babysat and played with by the doctors when I was busy translating, lol. Just while she was a baby, I had to bottle feed her because she was the runt and her mom got run over so I'd bring her to work with me and we'd stick her in the only cubicle that had a door. There was a hot doctor I can a huge crush on that used to come feed her all the time.
I knew nothing at all about cats before her, I didn't even like them! So I raised her exactly how I figured you would a baby, what did I know? You know, time outs, manners, clean ups, etc. The result? She thinks she's a people and gets really upset if you treat her like she's not. Seeing as how I was a total spoiled bratt... you can imagine her, lol.
She's had tough moments like being thrown through a window by robbers and that's caused her post-traumatic stress and she had to be on prozac for a long time. She's better now though, has her moments but better. Oh and we also share a lot of the same allergies.. weird. Love her though. I once had a fiance that said me or the cat... I answered right away that me and Misu wish him well. He was not happy, lol.

Well... the one we've had the longest is Paco. He's about 11-12 now, I think! He's a grey/white long-haired tabby, and he IS Garfield! He's everything Garfield is.
Then there's Sherbert, a stray orange tiger tabby. I also call her "snot-nose" cuz she IS! She gets into scraps with other cats and animals, and she's a great mouser.
Then there's Bucky. He's the oldest in age, about 12-13 now. We got him at the shelter. He was turned in by his previous owner (he was a one-owner cat, too!) because she moved out of state and couldn't find accommodations that would allow cats.
I swear, if I EVER get rich, I will build an apartment that is "Pet friendly," and I will never have a vacancy in my life!
