My cat loves to follow me into the bathroom.
I try to shoo him out, but he insists on being
in the bathroom with me.
So, it's always kind of weird.
I have to put him into another room.
And he likes to be in the same room
when I am gettng dressed.
It's really creepy.
I've always secretly believed that he
is a human inside cat skin.
He acts like a human. It's too funny!
Does your cat do funny things like that?
Like watch you while you sleep?
Or, try to go into the bathroom with you?

Same here! My cat is always like that she keeps on meowing whenever she follow me in the bathroom. I think she wants to say something to me and she wants to keep it private haha. LOL! Weird isn't it... but yeah, I just ignore her when she follows me not only in the bathroom but also in our room.

since i adopted my cat in dec 07, he stopped sitting in his cat bed. he prefers the couch now. or goes upstairs to my bed and sleeps on his back with his legs up in the air in weird poses.
my late cat used to sleep like me, under the covers with her head on the pillow, next to me.
all my pets, current cat, and late pets, used to follow me in the bathroom and hang out with me.
recently, my current cat jumped in the shower to explore it while i was taking my clothes off and getting ready to shower.
my late dogs used to give me dirty looks when i feed them dog food, and they keep eying my human food, wanting to eat that instead. once i left my food on the coffee table for 1 second to get something from the kitchen, when i returned, one of the shihtzus was standing on the coffee table eating my food fast and enjoying..so i just let her finish it...i am not eating after her...i dont want doggie germs. it would also be a waste if i threw it away.

Perhaps your cat is a pervert LOL - just kidding. My former cat used to do crazy things as well. He used to rub my mum every time he got the chance, he used to run like mad straight to the kitchen when he was called to dinner. He once decided to check out what's in the bathtub and got all wet, the poor thing, he had a very pissed expression afterward.

Yes, my cat's wierd like that as well. He ALWAYS follows me in the bathroom and he's even tried to follow me in the shower. One time my husband put him in the shower and all I saw was a wet cat running out from the bathroom, it was too funny actually...
Another wierd thing is, the minute I get out of the shower I go to my room to get changed and comb my hair and he will sit there and stare at me. And when I clean out my ears with a q-tip he will sit and wait for me to get done and attack the q-tip, the little wierdo lol...Eh but he's too darn cute, so I really can't complain too much.

my friends cat does exactly the same, she gets followed into the bathroom but not only that...when she sits down her cat jumps onto her lap. shes now worried that she might not have her legs closed one day and the cat comes running and jumps straight down the toilet!! how funny. he also likes to wear clothes, she tried him with a pink t shirt and he loved it so much he wouldnt let her take it off!! he greets her when she comes home from uni by jumping up on the first place he see's free. hes so funny. my old cat used to sleep in the bathroom sink lol. and he had a thing for painted toenails, he chased them but only if they were painted red otherwise he was fine

This is quite amusing as I was only thinking this the other day why my cat has to be in the bathroom and if I close the door she just stands there and "squeals". She is 16.5 years old and this has started more over the last few years where she just wants to be around (if she is not sleeping that is!) So if I am showering now, I leave the door open slightly, room enough for her to get in, she comes in walks around then goes out. The door being open for her seems very important!

Mine is the same way. I guess he wants to be sure
that I am safe and don't get locked in.
Cats worry about that kind of stuff, cause they
don't like being locked into rooms, so they wonder
why we would ever lock ourselves into a room purposely.

I don't own cats, beauty. I have many friends who own them and I hear very similar stories from them. One friend in particular seems to really believe that her cat is a human in cat skin. She says not only that but she believes he is probably her husband's brother because they are so much alike. She calls her cat Mini Mark(her husband's name) most of the time.

Mini Mark! What a fun name.
I've often thought that my older
cat is much like my brother was
when he was alive.
He's very serious and emotional.
Very sweet, though.

We have 3 cats, and 2 of them come in the bathroom sometime when I'm in there. Sometimes I won't latch the door completely, especially in the middle of the night when I'm the only one up, and the cats come it. I think it's really cute though. It's those moments, when they visit me that I really feel loved. My cats and dogs are family, definitely. They do seem like humans sometimes, but I think they are much better than some humans. Cats don't judge, they do like to be along sometimes, but sometimes they can be so loving, actually my girl cat loves being around us all the time pretty much. I don't leave my bedroom door open when I am sleeping because we have 3 dogs as well, and they'd either get into my stuff or jump on me when I'm sleeping, otherwise I'm sure at least one of the cats would end up in here with me! LOL
Anyway, I could talk about them all day, but I will end it now. :)

That's sweet! Yeah, I could talk about my "babies"
all day too. They're amazing little people.
Just glad they love me enough to want to stick around!
Thanks for chatting.

My cats go to the bathroom every time my husband goes in there. If he goes in to shave my one kitty will jump up on the sink counter and talk to him it is so cute! She follows him everywere though.

He likes to come in when I'm taking and bath and put his paws on the edge of the tub. The dog is the one who follows me into the bathroom. I think he thinks that when I go to the bathroom during the day it means I'm going to leave the house so he wants to make sure he knows what's going on.

My cat does that too.
He will come into the bathroom and try to get up
on the edge of the tub when I'm taking a tub bath.
I'm always afraid he will fall into the water!
He doesn't like water, so I never understand
why he gets so close.

my one cat would live in the bathroom.. i think the owner of his momma cat said he was born in one and slept in the litter box (wasnt mine at the time) so i think he finds crap comforting or something

Aww, that is too cute! Maybe he just likes being with you. C:
The only weird thing that my cat does is follow me into my room and sleep on my bed. Sounds normal right? It would be if the cat actually liked me. If I take a step toward him, he takes a step back. He approaches everyone else in the house, but always avoids me. Yet, when I am walking down the hall and he is in front of me, he will run to my room. Or sometimes, if I leave my bedroom door open, he will come in at night and crash on my bed. Cats are picky like that, I guess.

Mine does that pillow thing too.
Actually it's the middle cat that does it.
She is the princess and loves to sleep with me at night.
The kitten is trying to adopt me and likes to sleep
on the bed too. But the two cats don't get along, so
one always has to leave. I leave it up to them to decide
which cat will stay and which cat will go!

MY huband's cat does this to him. She tried to jump up on his lap while he's sitting on the toilet. My cat follows me into the bathroom, and uses his litter box, whih I have in there, while I am using the toilet. LOL It's funny to see us both in the bathroom at the same time.

I have to say that you have a very cute cat:) My cats are very cool. They like me to massage them but they won't show how much they appreciate to it. They are like the king and the queen. They seldom follow me. But when it's time for a meal, usually we have to look for them and call them. It's a little like a child.
I love China

The cats I grew up with did that too but now I have dogs & they also do this which can be VERY annoying - espcially when my boy curls up on the bathmat & I'm ready to hop out of the shower

Creepy??? WHY? My little "Sherbert" follows me into the bathroom ALL the time! She could be sleeping on the bed, and if I get up and go to the bathroom, she'll get off the bed and follow me in! I call her my "Bathroom Buddy!" She doesn't "DO" anything, just keeps me company. Furthermore, it's only ME that she follows, not my BF! I think it's cute... but creepy? NAW!!!

It's funny you should mention this! I can't go in the bathroom and close the door without my cat clawing at the door to get in. He has to see what I am doing sitting there! Silly kitty. Then when I go to flush, he has to watch the TP go down. He's an odd ball!
