ok, so my boyz dad calls and when we get done with our conversation, my 5 yr old asks to talk to his dad. So, they talk. Then my 3 yr old comes in and wants his turn ( naturally) and his dad says he doesn't have time to talk to him. How the heck are you going to talk to one and not the other and then to tell your 3 yr old that Daddy doesn't have time to talk to you? Broke my son's heart and then I have to deal with the broken heart that he caused? I don't think so!!!!!!! That is just wrong! Talk about the Mother Bear coming out in me!!! UGH!! Then when I called him on it, he acts as if he did nothing wrong! UGH!!!!!!

Hello dear jamie. I am so sorry to hear that the three year old was ignored by his father. But I think that maybe he was busy with his work around him leaving him not much time for his work. You are so nice to make the kid feel better...

I think it does not matter how old the kids are. Daddy should always make time for them. Even if it is only a few minutes on the phone. He should have at least said hi to him to validate his feels instead of being non existent. I would be a mama bear to. I would not tell the child his dad did not want to talk to him. I would tell him daddy is busy now and you can call him in a bit. So he would not feel hurt. Some daddy's are all the same. Us women have to pick up the pieces.

I think that you should tell that man that he needs to say that to his own son and hand the phone over. I know that 3 year olds are more limited in their vocabularies, but come on, the man can give his kids equal time.

I think you shouldn't think of that.I think as a father is very tired. There are so many things are waiting them to do.So they always have a bad mind because they have no enough time.So I think you should uderstand him and help him. Then it maybe will better.
