It's a long time before,When I was a young girl,I have met a matter which shamed me today ,when I was a pupil, oneday I come school early ,I opened the door of the classroom,at this moment,I found there was a guy who was turning over my bags, I thought he must be stealing something, and I could not found my pen anywhere!so I asked him to compensate my pen ,and next I got a new pen!
several days later,I discovered my pen in somewhere! It shamed me,still today!

I call that an honest mistake, nothing to be ashamed about, we all make mistakes, if you learnt the lesson to be more careful in the future, which I think you have if your still thinking about it, then it is all ok...

I think it shames you today because you did not repet of it then. What stopped you then, if anything, from apologizing to the man who compensated you for a pen that he did not steal?

There's nothing to ashame of. You didn't meant it, it's a matter of mistakes. It will be ashame if you really mean to accused him stealing without an intentions. It's fine you don't need to worry for that, no ones perfect indeed every people are making some mistakes unintentionally. Thanks for the post!

Who could blame you for thinking that the guy stole your pen. He was opening you bag isn't he? But when you realized that you did not take you pen and it was you who misplaced it, you should have approached the guy and apologized. If you did just that then you would not have this matter give you a heavy heart.
