I take a Vit.C pill everyday, I can't have any juices, because of the sugar in them. I sure do love apple juice and I used to drink it, but not now, I'm diabetic so too much sugar is not good...

I don't make any special effort at all to make sure I'm up on Vitamin C. I do eat lots of oranges as my neighbour is very generous with them though. I'd love to drink more orange juice, but juice was a victim in one of the food shopping cut backs I made as we were just drinking SO much of it. The idea was that if we didn't have it in the house we would learn to drink fresh water.
I think that if your diet is varied and contains lots of fresh stuff, then you shouldn't really need to top it up with any supplements.

I sometime drink juices, not on a daily basis. So my daily source of vitamin C is a tablet that I take every morning. So far, I have stayed healthy and rarely got colds.

Usually, it's in the food I eat. I like fruit and cottage cheese, tomatoes in just about everything, etc. so I get plenty of it in my regular diet. It's also in my multivitamin, so I know I get it that way if my diet doesn't do it for me.

I'm not sure if I could give an appropriate reply on this but I'd like to share something with you. It's not a secret, anyway. And if you do have a suggestion, please share it with me. Thanks in advance.
You see, I really am not used to drinking any vitamin c supplement or foods rich in vitamin c. It's very seldom when I eat citrus fruits or drink juice. And personally, I've noticed that whenever I eat calamansi or drink calamansi juice, I tend to develop colds; but this type of colds doesn't last longer than a couple of days. I don't know if I'm right in thinking that this behavior of my body is quite unusual or abnormal.
But despite of this, I'm thankful that I rarely have cough or colds even if I don't have a steady source of vitamin c in my system.

As much as I love grapefruit juice and OJ and lemons and limes, and other foods rich in vitamin C like peppers for example, I do not think that in today's world it is possible to get enough vitamin C from food alone, so I supplement with Ester-C.

I eat a lot of fruit and Veggies. So I think I get enough Vit. C that way. I am not really big on taking pills even Vitamins, and I don't like fruit juices. But I love eating the fruit. How do you know if you are not getting enough Vitamin C?

You feel sick a lot, plus it helps you to sleep better. If you don't get enough Vita C your body will try to get it from the calcium in your bones, not good.
