Well it is a question a lot of people ask. What kind of a Writer are you? Are you the one that will plan what type of a Story you are going to write? Or do you just go with the flow? There are many more different types of writers so express yourself here!
I am a writer that will just go with the flow. I will usually draw/colour my characters, name them and then go from there. I get ideas from previous books I've read but I'll always be original with what I write and I try to keep to a set storyline and try to keep the story as interesting as possible.

I am more of a business writer. I write articles related to business development in different regions of the world.
I al so write reviews again in the business sectors.

I am an on the spot type writer. When I get an idea, I have to run with it right then and there, or the idea is gone forever. For my part, I tend to stick with opinions/editorials, reviews and the like because it suits me. My writing is best when I feel strongly about an issue or am "fired up" and mad about something.
My husband states that I have a jaded outlook on everything in life, which allows me to be humorous while pointing out the flaws in everything. I guess that makes me an opinionated writer on the fly?

For fiction I just write. Research when I need to and write. My main characters usually have a face whether it is an imagined one or real. As for ideas I go with whatever I believe would make a good story.

I am not a writer of fiction, though I have written some stories in the past. I am a writer of articles and reviews. I enjoy writing about many different subjects. Sometimes I need to do some research and at other times I can just write from my own experience and personal feelings.
I read a lot. I read fiction for pleasure in my own time and I read many articles and reviews on the internet. I think this helps me to know how to write well and to know when I see something that is badly written.
