my mini dacshund is a picky eater

Do not worry doxies can be the pickiest eaters and if they have ate people food before they become even worse...they are so stubborn:) My little girl is so picky too I have finally found some science diet small bites that she likes ......but what you need to do if she is really bad is go to the pet store and buy this stuff called l-stat and it stimulates therir appetite and keeps their sugar levels up ...its is 8-12 bucks depending on the store but they wil know what it is it is made especially for mini and toy breeds and then after using it for awhile your pup will just eat by herself plus establishing a routine for a dog is good too ...When my little girl wakes up in the morning she knows its time to eat..and in the afternoon and mine are kennel trained and this helps her find her safe place and she loves it..its her own den and her quietplace...ne ways hope that helps and hope i made since in my posting as it is late and sometimes I ramble oops there i go now..ne ways it is called l-stat have a great day!!

My Mini is a picky eater also. The only can food I have found that he likes sometimes is Caesars. I know I shoudn't do this but If I have any left over meats from dinner, sometimes I'll chop up a little and mix it in his food. I try not to do it too often because then he gets to expecting it. Some times he gets stubborn and won't eat for a night or two and then finally gives in. My Bogie is almost 9 years old and he is far from skinny. How old is Truda? Leenie50
