r u rude with your subordinates?

i have about 25 people reporting to me directly, as i am in charge of sales for a large supply chaoin, but i have not yet found a reason to be rude woith my subordinates, though there are instances when targets are not met and i have to chide thme to pefoem better, but i have so far done thigns in a gentelemnaly way and i have had good results from my team

I believe you are doing the correct things here. As a "team leader," you lead by example and show the right things to do to meet goals. Yes, sometimes you may need to "chide" or challenge some among your team to meet goals, but remain constructive and positive in your criticism and instruction and your subordinates should appreciate your mentor ship and management style.

there are a few people at my office that show up late sometimes or come back late from unch that I have to be rought with sometimes. I am usualy a nice person, I get along real well with my employees. We joke around a lot and try to make a pleasent work environment for all.
