Purchasing Cell Phones Online

I am not sure if we are allowed to mention specific websites, so I will keep the name to myself. Recently, I decided to purchase a cell phone online. I've done this several times before, but I came across a website that had really nices phone at very reasonable prices. My daughter was so excited to know that she would be receiving her brand new slider phone in just a few weeks. Weeks passed into months and no phone. I contacted the site and they claimed they were out of phones and waiting for the shipment. They appologized for the inconvenience and promised to upgrade the shipping for us to receive it faster. The site promised we would have the phone in 10 days. Days passed and still, no cell phone. I cancelled the order out of frustration and requested a refund. The site promised the refund but it would be 10-14 days before my account would be credited. That was two months ago and ....NOTHING. Since, I have tried to contact the site and I have not received any responses. HAs this happened to anyone before? Contact me if it has. I would l ike to know how many people this site has stolen money from. My suggestion is to be careful. If you must purchase online, purchasing from your service provider is the safest way.

I don't like to purchase too much on the internet. I use prepaid credit card that aren't linked to any bank. I use that if I have to make a purchase. Use paypal, as they can investigate the problems. Call or type in BBB.com and report it.

i've never purchased a mobile phone from internet and i never will. nowadays you cannot trust every site. many of them might be a scam. i would never buy expensive things from internet, including here mobile phones, digital cameras, TVs, computers or anything else. besides, how would you know what a phone would be like if you don't touch it and use it a bit?!?!
