My husband and I are both impatient. When we can't avoid waiting, we make up life stories for the people around us. It's a great source of laughs!

We were recently waiting in line to buy soft drinks to fight this dreadful heat. A man was in front of us about whom we made up a whole life: he was born in a small midwestern town, and only let there when he went to Chicago for college. He majored in rather obscure literature, and became a professor at a small college near his home town. He married a woman he'd known since kindergarten and led a very quiet life with two kids, on a large property that supported animals in enough numbers that they seemed to own a petting zoo.
Later, we saw him talking with some people we knew so, when he left them, we checked up on the accuracy of our stories. His real story was much better than our invention! He was from Los Angeles, CA, the son of a very famous actor and he owned a huge multinational corporation specializing in very secret government-spy-intrigue related work!
I should point out that, over a period of about ten years of this, whenever we've been able to find out the real story, we've been right about 85% of the time! Some people just wear their lives on their faces!

thats absolutely brilliant im so going to have to do that. iv never done it before imm just good at judging what people really think rather than what they say. or seeing how a person really feels. i think its easy and anybody can do it if they just took the tiniest amount of time to notice ;)

I love to people watch and try to figure out what they do
for a living. Sometimes I see someone limping or someone who
'is really handicapped and I send out a silent prayer to God
to help this handicappedd person in their daily lives. I would
not say anything out loud but only in my mind. I feel for other
handicapped people as I am handicapped partially myself so I
know just how it feels.

i always wonder how it must feel and what they are thinking in a crowd of people. i have an autistic brother, hes handicapped mentally but its a little different. i see the "young" of today having heated conversations about the most ridiculous things and just wonder how people turn out like that. is it there up bringing? i dont think it is, you are who you want to be

yes, sometimes when i sit on a banch in the park or in the centre of the town, i find myself checking people out, and based on how they first look to me, i am starting to wonder about his/her life, where he is going... who is waiting for him at home.. is he happy,is he satisfied.. is he in a rush..or what could he be thinking in that moment ... people dress, act, look so differently one from the other... and it is sometimes fascinating to stop a bit and think of all that:)

woohoo sounds exactly like me! do you judge though or just wonder? it really is amazing how people are so different yet we also share alot of characterisics with all those people to, which i mean could be anything. there are always other people watching people as well if you notice.
