Ok sorry for posting twice but for some reason half my paragraph got cut....weird. But anyway I got a threatening email saying that my life would be spared if i sent the person $3,000. If any of you recieved an email like this what would you do? I'm not sure if I should contact the police becasue I think it's a hoax.

Since you said this was not the first time you've gotten this email you may want to contact the authorities, yes. Either that or their ISP if you can get hold of it.

Well actually, in the email they gave me 2 email addresses to "contact" them with. 1 for sending them the money and the other to set up a place to "meet". Lol.

very weird and by 2 different people. The first one was a boy and now this one is a girl. The first one didn't give any contact information or ask for money. But this chick did. Very weird.

It's probably a hoax. My grandmother got a couple and she was very concerned. We did contact the police department, just so it was on the books, but they weren't concerned with it and she hasn't heard back after nine months. I think you can rest easy, but filing a police report wouldn't be a bad idea.

Thank you for your reply and I am considering filing a report. I too was concerned when I recieved the first one because I do have a 1 year-old daughter so I was worried for her sake, but when I replied to the first one saying that i was contacing the authorities, they didn't bother me again until now. Some people hese days just don't seem to have anything better to do with there lives so they threaten people.
