last night, while i was sleeping and having sweet dreams, some's talking woke me up, what's that? my wife was talking aloud, repeating some words. i checked it from answers.com, it say it's called somniloquy or sleep talking, it can be quite loud, ranging from simple sounds to long speeches, and can occur many times during sleep. listeners may or may not be able to understand what the person is saying.
it also says sleep-talking is very common and is reported in 50% of young children, and 5% of adults are reported to talk in their sleep. sleep talking is harmless, it's just kinda sleep disorder coz of stress or sth.
BTW, r u a sleep talker? do u think that it's a common thing? do think it's really harmless?i can accept sleep talking, but i heard that some people are sleep walkers, sounds horrible. what do u think of that?

I am a sleep talker. It is because I am so stress on my work and study...
Anyway, I think it will effect on the quality of my sleep. I will have a little tired if I have not a good sleep.... tired.

I usually ask question that relates to their dreams..example my son was talking in his sleep and he is obviously angry and I asked him 'who are you fighting with' and he answered. The answers they give is usually one liner and you can't really have a lengthy conversation with them when they are asleep.

I have done both. I have walked in my sleep and talked in my sleep. The sleepwalking is a very embarrassing story so I will not indulge you with it. I have awoken in the middle of the night because I was talking. It is harmless, but the sleepwalking could become dangerous if the person doing this could get themselves hurt. Have a Great day.

well, i'm not a sleep walker, and i haven't seen a sleep walker but on TV or from some movies. i searched and found that sleepwalking is also names somnambulism or noctambulism, weird terms. lol, it's more commonly experienced in people with high levels of stress, anxiety or other psychological factors and in people with genetic factors (family history)or sometimes a combination of both. accorind to some statistics, 18% of the world's population is prone to sleepwalking. sleepwalkers are more likely to endanger themselves, u named it. i dare not and feel kinda scared to find more information, not that good to share those stories. lol good luck

Sleep talker and a sleep walker. If I became very tired after my work, expect me to become a sleep talker. Also, I remember when I was a kid, I just realized I was at the outside of our house looking for someone (that's the last thing I remember in my dream). When I go back to our room, that was the first time I saw a ghost. Hahaha!
