IN singapore, most ple will choose to study aboard due to 2 reasons.. 1st reason is very common.. THe degree aboard is much easier to obtain as compared to singapore and most people whom din do quite well in singapore and dun qualify for local universities, will opt to go aboard.. 2nd, is to further their studies to bring their knowledge to a higher level.. I have got frenz from these 2 catergories but i myself din study aboard or local universities.. haha

No I have not but recently been putting some serious consideration into going to study in Italy. I do not know much about studying abroad, however I feel it would be a wonderful, and also once in a lifetime opportunity that I nor anyone else for that matter should take for granted. Especially if you arelucky enough to do so, because I am sure there are people who can not and would be grateful for the opportunity. Not to mention getting to learn another culture and broadening your horizons.

My family is from italy so besides having the opportunity to study in another country, I can also explore my roots while i'm there.

I did live a year in the US as an exchange student, the last year of high school. I did it because my cousins had done it, I wanted to see the world, I wanted to lean English better, and I wanted to experience family-life in a different way. I think it is a very good thing for people to study and live abroad for a while. One can get very set in ones way, and never challenge the ways of life one is used to at home. Granted we communicate much more with people from all over the world now. When I grew up I just had my pen pal in England - there were no chatting online, and no discussion forums. Still all these things cannot compete with the experience of living in a different country, and living like they are. That experience can really broaden ones mind and make it easier to understand and accept the fact that people are people even if they have different cultures, values and ways.

I have never had the chance to study abroad though, now that I have finished my degree here in our country, I'd find it a great oppurtunity to be able to study abroad. I'll be able to explore experienced, not only on how students are being taught in other countries but, I will also be aware things within the country that I'd be studying in.

No, I haven't studied abroad yet. But I have a hunch that people study abroad to learn things about other countries; to learn their culture, to socialize with other people whom they have not known for a long time. It's like living in a totally different perspective of life.

Because on spot is absolutely the best way to learn a language and the culture, at least splash of it. I might consider studying abroad. But rather than study I want to move abroad to live in another country.

My best friend in Australia now and she thinks it's unspecial to study there because there are many chinese students for learning in Australia. She misses her family and wants to come back after completing lessons. After all ,there is not her home. It's a back-busting thins to study overseas and we should face many issues and difficulties. Maybe, someone who study overseas want to get more knowledges or have a special experiance or live there in future. They have different goals. My friend is compeled to study overseas by her Mom. So if you want to study beyond the sea whether any reasons, you should prepare fully.
