Bad Smell

I had an officemate who had a bad smell on her feet. I feel very bad whenever I smell it. I can't take it, breathing becomes harder for me. I don't know how to tell it with because I'm afraid she might be offended or something. She's a pretty lady but I'm not sure why she didn't notice the smell from her feet. We're not that close, it's one of the reason why I can't tell it.
Have you experienced this? What will I do?
Thank you. Hope you could share something to me. Have a nice day.

Perhaps she is not aware or just cannot be bothered. I would give her the benefit of doubt. I would use the air freshener. I bet it smell better. If you are afraid of offending her, perhaps you can hint to her subtly by buying her some powder to keep her feet dry.

I would really be kinder if you tell her about her bad smell. But if you can't get the nerve to tell her, could you just give her a foot powder or something that could hint that she is supposed to use it? I did it once actually. I gave the nanny of my children a deodorant because she just smells even if she is not sweating that hard. Being a lady, its really embarassing. Though it would unnerve me if someone would come up and tell me about it but I would end up feeling grateful to that someone who told me for me to do something about it.

Hi. jencai. I know how you feel. It was a boy in my middle school class that had bad foot odor. I would smell his foot so much. It had a bad scent to it!!! I never came out and told him this. At first, I did not know that the smell was coming directly from his shoes, I thought that it was another student in the classroom's feet. Maybe you can just put some carpet or floor powder around where you are sitting at, so that you don't have to smell her feet. I think that it is very ill that a pretty lady can have stink feet while she is at work.

is there a way of talking to your boss and having your boss tell her with out it being obvious you are the one that complained? if so i would do that only if there is no way you can tell her yourself.. it would be less embarrassing i think for her to hear it from you because if she gets embarrassed and avoids you its only YOU that she has an issue with where as if you tell your boss then she will know that at least 2 people know and then she will be more upset and paranoid.
