Rumor has it that Chris Noth, who plays Detective Logan on L&O's criminal intent will be leaving the show. His replacement is Jeff Goldblum. Goldblum is an accomplished actor with many roles in a variety of venues under his belt. I wonder if he will do the show justice, or if his co-leading man, Vincent D'Onofrio will continue to outshine any actor that joins the Law & Order roster. Give me your thoughts! My opinion, the show should stick to D'Onofrio as THE leading man. A great actor with excellent skills, they are hurting their own ratings by playing anyone against him.

Well i happen to love Chris on this show, and would be very sad to see him go. I never cared for Goldblum and would prob turn me off a bit to the show if he took over the role.

Mike Logan was one of the original Law & Order detectives and is my favorite. The thing about the L & O franchise is that the writing is so good that it can survive major cast changes. I'll betcha Goldblum will do fine. He's a quirky sort...like Vincent D'onofrio. Nobody's wierder than Det. Goren.

I really like Chris Noth and Iam sorry to see him go.At the moment I cannot place who Jeff Goldblum is,but I don't think he can top the great acting of Vincent D'Onofiro. The reason that the show is divided into 2 parts in the first place is because Vincent puts so much of himself in the part of Robert he was waring and tiring himself out.He is an ausum actor and put's in 200% to his part.

I much prefer Noth to D'Onofrio. I can seldom watch him through an entire episode. CI is my least favorite of the L&O franchise!

Believe me...if they don't kill Logan off, he'll be back in one form or another. Remember the L & O movie featuring Logan...they kept him alive and well, and eventually, he came back. I'm hoping that a TV movie comes out after the series goes off. Love to see it deal with Ed Green, Mike Logan, the SVU and CI crew...maybe even update us on Phil Ceretta. I'll keep dreamin'

Vincent D'Onofrio collapsed during a shoot a couple years ago. His doctor recommended a sabbatical from the show. He would only agree to split time with Chris Noth rather than take a leave. This seemed to satisfy everyone. He doesn't look good...tired, lethargic, and really overweight. His acting is still first rate...I'm just concerned about his general health.
