Superstar movies like Tashan flopped drastically. Some crude comedy were trashed mercilessly. The main highlight was "Dasavathaaram" an Average flick becoming Super hit because it broke the records for the most expensive Indian film and a record 10 roles by Kamal Hassan which is a world record. It wasn't included because it's a Tamil film and dubbed into Hindi.
