There are many music and movies available on the internet to download. Some are even free to download. But, also, still there are those that can be bought on stores placed on CDs and DVDs etc. So are you still buying on these stores or just downloading them on the internet? Well, fortunately or unfortunately, I have internet connection at home. Because of this, I just download all the music and movies and others I wanted on the internet. I am very lucky to have found a website that has everything i am looking for. How about you?

Well, Gicarlo, I choose to actually obey the law and buy my music and movies. I know some sites offer downloads when you pay, and I do use those which is also not a copyright infringement.

For me it's a little bit of both. I buy pretty much all my music in downloads now, and I buy season passes for tv shows I like when I can afford it, so I have my whole Grey's Anatomy collection on my computer and on my ipod! LOL So yea, I'm definitely also going towards being all virtual. But then again, there are tv shows that aren't available where I download from, and there are other shows that I already started my dvd collection for, so I will probably continue to buy those in dvd form for consistency. But in general, I really like the fact that if I buy a show for download I will get it in an hour or so, depending on download speeds, as opposed to waiting for the dvd to come in the mail or having to wait till I go to the store.

Actually, even if using pirated versions of software is illegal, i used to download these things from the internet. basically, i use torrent software for downloading these files. not only movies and songs, i download even games, antivirus, other utilities etc. for downloading a movie, usually, it will take 8 hours to 16 hours. the quality also will be superb. so, i used to download movies instead of buying them from shops...

Music I mostly download, and I will burn my own CD with just the music I want. For father's day I made my husband a CD that he wanted... I took all the songs on the CD in stores, and downloaded them and burned the CD. It was a lot cheaper that way, I spent $5 and the CD in stores cost $15. For movies, once in a great while I will download them, but mostly I rent from Blockbuster.com. Some movies are just MUST haves though, so I will buy those. The last movie I bought was Alvin and the Chipmunks.

hi gicarlo. i still buy cds and dvds especially of those titles that i consider essentials. the other stuff that interest me, i just download as well. no sense spending my hard-earned cash to hear a flash-in-the-pan band or catch a boring movie that had a not-so-surprising ending.

if there is a cd that i want then i will download it from the net. but if it is a really goo cd from a favorite artist i will actually go and buy it. but with movies i have a friend who can get copies of the actual movie the day it comes out and its not a burned copy either. so i normally make a copy of it or i wait until they come out on dvd and i go and rent it.

DVDs - DVD collection at home
when it comes to films, my boyfriend loves buying them in DVDs since they are really cheap now in stores. no need to download them at home since it takes some time to have it done, too. but there are times when we download them, too. movies that is difficult to find in shops. when it comes too music, i download some of them myself since there are no way getting hold of a philippine (i am from the philippines) CD here in sweden. downloading really comes in handy. anne

I spend an absolute fortune on DVD's and CD's. Music is my life, and as someone who has spent a lot of time writing, recording and being in a band, I like to support the bands and artists that influence me. Call me old fashioned, but I believe that if you create something artistically then you should be paid for it when people want it. I would save a lot of money if I downloaded it all, but I just don't like that idea at all.

Actually i have net facillity now but i may not have in future.I think getting CDs is the best option to see any movie because if u dont have net facility also u can see it.If u have less net connectin also u can go for it. other way downloading is also a good thing to do to save money and all.Depending on the facilities u have u shoul take decisions.

Hi Gicarlo, My partner download music and movies in the net.In that way we can save a lot in music and movies. At first i didnt even know that is possible until i meet my partner and learned me how to do it.And i can see that using that kind of program saving can save you a lot of money. We just put it into dvd-rw and erased them after watching them. But i still buy cd's becouse i still want to have collections of the original cd.But i dont use them i'll copy them to the empty cd's and save the original as my collection.I like to collect cd's.have a nice day and happy posting.. Greetings from che!

I download everything from the net for free, from tv-shows and movies to games, ebooks, and applications. I don't think I would ever pay again. If I get gift vouchers at Christmas for music stores, I usually use the vouchers on something physical that I can't download like a pair of earphones or a carry case.

I usually buy the DVD's and CD's from the stores. I think the reason why I do this is because I don't want to wore out my computer LOL I use it for other things and I don't want to overload it. Plus I rather have the DVD so I can watch it on tv whenever I want to. I haven't bought a CD in a really long time...I just listen to the radio. I would buy music online but movies is a different story for me.

I don't watch a lot of movies and TV, so between what is available on the TV and my husband's collection of movies, I'm all set. I also have NetFlix which is a very good deal for whatever movies I want to watch.
