i need help regarding this movie!

it may sound funny but some years ago i watched a movie for just half an hour and i did not remember its name... but i can tell some part of the storyline...
a man dies and goes to a virtual life. may be something of the type of life after death. he tries to communicate with her wife about his death but fails to talk or touch anything . some time after he feels that he could talk to a psychic .. the role played by an african american woman. he has some money in the bank or something like that and by the help of that lady he tries to communicate with his wife and help her.
i really want watch the movie.... but could you tell me what movie was this ... i would greatly be indebted if i get the idea regarding the name of the movie.

Well, it seems you have already got the answer to your query right. Ghost is somewhat a good entertainment to see. Hope you have already liked the movie. There was a similar kind of movie in my language. But, the protagonist was a woman who wanted to help her little child and husband against bad guys. I don't remember the movie title though.
