Need some ideas for a project

I am in college currently and we have been given an assignment in my technical writing class. We have to write a 'user's manual' for something. So, in a flash of brilliance, I decided 'why not do a manual for a plastic canvas project' and submitted my idea for the instructors approval. She accepted it and thought it was an awesome idea. Ok, I know basically what needs to be included and I have that, no problem. What needs to be included is a cover sheet, table of contents, introduction, step by step (I am including a parts diagram with photos), definitions, and a FAQ page. So I thought that I would ask here for some plastic canvas crafter's input. Basically what I have chosen to do is one of my original patterns and turn it into a kit. So, everyone, what would you all include in a 'how to' to do a kit? For those that have completed kits before what would you like to see different? If you haven't ever completed a kit before, what would you expect to see? What are some questions that you would like to see on an FAQ page? I just need ideas and insight...I am not looking for someone to do my paper for me.
