Do you want to add 'religion' under 'hobbies' I enjoy'?

No, I do not... this happend to me on one of my last replies. This is not about religion but if one can consider it a hobby? I'm not a religious person, yet it makes me wonder how someone would think of religion as a hobby rather than a way of life? If you would add it under 'things I want to do with my life' and say for example 'religion', 'spread the word of Jezus' or 'phrase God', it would sound a lot more sincere and make more sence in my opinion, but perhaps I'm missing something here? If so, please tell me as I'm trying to understand this. I guess religion and hobby might have a way of going together as there are things like church camp and other fun activities that churches help set up, but would you add religion under hobbies even still? I would love to hear your opinions!

Of course not! A hobby is something you dabble in during your leisure time when you are not busy with whatever it is you do with your life, your work, your family and all those other things that are important to you. Religion cannot be a hobby because it is a way of life as you said. It is the basic underpinning of your life, it is something that threads the entire tapestry of your life so it is not a hobby at all.

'something that threads the entire tapestry of your life', I love how you wrote that down. It's allmost poetic. I do agree something that's tangled through your life like a red thread that's your guideline, hope and dreams can not be a hobby. Thank you for defining it and have a great day.

I thought that was a bit silly when I saw it. I can see putting it under a Life interest, but not hobbies.

Thank you, I did not see why either. Hopefully someone will reply who can tell his or her reasons as I'm really curious why someone would put it there. Thank you for adding to the discussion.

Now that you mention it, I never really took notice of the fact that religion is under "hobby". It is clearly not and should not be. I agree that it is a way of life, it is your beliefs and values, it is in your actions and your choices....well it is for me in any case. Maybe Mylot put under "hobby" because......no, no, can't make sense of it.

Exactly, I can't make sence of it either. I don't think it's an action by mylot as we can make our own. Someone just put it there and others joined. What I wonder is... why? I hope to be able to get an answer and get other people to think about it as well. I simply can't figure out a reason other than things like church camp and church activities, but in that case I would explicitly name it that way. A bit of a mind twister this one...
