About microdermabrasion, is it safe, effective and how much would it cost?

A friend of mind needs to have some treatment for her skin and she asked me about microdermabrasion. never heard about it so I wasn't helpful. I'm curious about it so can anyone out there provide some information on this treatment and what kind of skin defects does it treat?

Be careful. I had a friend that had it done and she had scabs on her face for a couple of weeks. First it was raw for days. I've seen good and bad results, so if your friend is going to do that, tell her to look for some people that have had it done and make sure the person doing it is really good at it.

Oh thanks for the word of caution. In fact that's the reason why i'm asking around about the procedure since i've never heard about it. I will tell my friend to be careful in choosing the one who will do the treastment in case she decides to push through with it.
