Yesterday I was just parked my car after my errand to Market and Bank.It is a Subaru. I went inside the office. Shortly I returned to take my care to go to another place and car was not there, Key was with me, I am really surprised where the car has gone.then I checked the surroundings the after I saw the car lying in a ditch camflaged the bush. While I parked the car I did not pull the hand brake properly. Since it was parked on slop it started to go back slowly and went inside the bush, luckily it did not go in the main high way.Thank God.

You are really lucky that it didn't hit another car or run over someone walking behind it! I have never had that happen to me but I aslo refuse to park on a slope becuase of what happened to you! Glad nothing and no one got hurt.

Wow, what luck you had! A very long time ago I had something similar happen to me but my car just rolled out of my driveway and into the street. Luckily there wasn't a lot of traffic on that street and one of the neighborhood kids came to my door to tell me that my car was getting away. Bet you'll be sure to check the hand brake next time!

Could this be an act of God? A sign perhaps? I would think that when parking pulling on the hand brake would be automatic. What could cause you to forget this?

Wow yes thank God ! what a lucky thing your car didn't hit anyone. A similar "accident" happened to a car which was parked on a gentle slope here. Sadly the car's hand brakes were not engaged and it rolled down the slope gathering momentum as it did and finally smashed into a crowd injuring a pedestrian !
It was just a bad day for the owner of the car and the person who was injured in the incident. But for you it is a lesson learnt and for those of us who know this story it is a reminder that accidents like this can and will happen if we are careless enough not to make sure the hand brakes and gears are locked so that there is no possibility of rolling down the slope and causing injury to innocent people.

i must say only one word: "WHOA". i guess you are really lucky, because if it got to the highway, poor you!! and i think that this must be a lesson to you to never forget to pull the hand brake. i dont drive because i am little but my sister has a car which beeps each time you forget to pull the hand brake, each time you forget the lights on etc.
