Shall Best Response give you extra Earnings..?

Members will always have varying opinions about this because we do not really know the answer. It is also very difficult to assess the impact of a Best Response since the earnings are accredited as a whole and not itemised. I suspect that there could be some level of benefit involved, but I have no idea how it would be applied.

I haven't been here too long, but I've posted quite a bit. I've received a lot of best responses, one day as many as eight! But I did not see an increase in my earnings for that day. I think the best response is simply a "pat on the back" for whomever gave it. It's an ego-booster.

You know, I think that we will never really know for sure. I think this is just something to make us feel better, but yet might help increase our income more if we have been more busy for that day. But no one really knows for sure do they? For me, I guess we just continue to post Good responses back to the discussions we post back in and hope for the best. If they do reward us a little extra, it never hurts.

I've been here for at least a year and didn't think getting best response had anything to do with our earnings...of course I could be wrong.

Hi chennai, nobody knows about that. All are mere speculations unless mylot put that into writing . I hope it will increase our earnings so everybody will be more motivated to make their responses better. Even the star reputation, we don't know what's the impact of that to the earnings we make. I guess those will remain a secret not to be revealed. It's better I think so we will just concentrate on participating the discussions. Have a great day!

I think so!!! It doesn't really say in the FAQs but getting a best response means that your response is quality indeed right? Which is why i always give the best response award to the mylotter with ewer posts unless of course the older mylotters really did write something great. Maybe the admin will adjust earnings if you get a best response so you don't get paid right away. Anyway the best thing to do is to try to just write your best response all the time!

i've never seen a difference in my earnings when i got best response. It wouldn't hurt thought to get an extra 5 cents or 2 cents for a good reply but we are all here to earn that but that is a way of earning as well.. the star really doesn't mean anything it's just a star that's all.. At least that is how i see it..

I guess it still is a mystery how Mylot really computes our earning. I think they are keeping it a secret so that those who will just used the formula to trick Mylot and earn. I think its better that way.

hmm this is interesting. i'd like to know too. would be really be just a star rating? or you get something extra for that particular post? or is it just an additional earning for the Best Response rating? although this should not affect the way i post. Best Response or not, i'd still give my honest opinions. but it's really nice to know that i'm rewarded for putting in my best efforts. ;p

I don't think that it helps earnings. But it's nice. And if it does help earnings then that is a good thing. But if you get your discussion onto top discussions, then that helps earnings. Or, at least I think it does. It has always been good for me!

I thought that the star ranking changed for the best response. I don't know if the earnings change any. To me I have gotten the best response a few times but the earning didn't change any.

Hey, even i am confused a lil bit on this issue. mylot has not made it clear about the parameters used for calculating earnings. I guess the rating (+,- or !) influences the earnings. because i have observed a peculiar thing with my earnings and participation. Some days, just to know what would be the earnings that i will make from a posting, i used to make only a single posting. but sill i used to get anywhere between .06 or .10 for the participation. some people say that even if they literally slog and make 40-50 posts a day, they will get around .20-.30. What could be the reason behind it?

Its a mirconception of some users. It has nothing to do with earnings. I have checked it already many times and observed that there is no increase in earnings. Best response just has a purpose , it serves the purpose of picking a response which fully satisfy and which fully answers your query. It has to be something which has all the answers in it and should be written well and meaningfully. It has nothing to do with earnings. It doesnot increase earnings ,it just helps in increasing reputation which has nothing to do with earnings. It will improve your star status. You can check this in the following way. Atleast response ten discussions in a best possible way and wait everything for two days. All your earnings will be updated the next day. Then after two days request any one to give best response to check if there is any increase or not or wait for sometime for best response. This way you will find the truth.

This would be nice to know if we did get extra earnings for best response. I've opened up my email to find 5 or 6 at a time. And, I rush over to see who gave them to me. I love giving a best response, knowing that person will enjoy it as much as I do when I get one. I try to do a good response regardless of whether the best response on a post has been chosen or not. I just think we need to give our best at all times.

it was my question also long time ago. i can say you that till today i am also not able to find the truth. some says no, some says yes. May be it is also appreciated by mylot. but i have no proof.

theres absolutely no effect what so ever. its up to keep typing and responding to forums and topics

You couldn't get extre Earnigs just for the best response. But have you ever think of that you will have a better Rank if you have the best response?Then you will get more for each response,so at last you also have the exatra Earnings just it's not directly.

hi,chennai_b02:) Getting the best response makes me happy,i also think it will not give me additional earning,but better than no. We get it means our response is worthy,i think it's an affirmation and praise to our work,though with no extra money,we will be more confident here,be more active,sometimes the invisible encouragement can be an endless drive.
