It has been years since I last tried cooking. My last attempt was quite a failure. I guess that's why I did not try after that.
No one in my family cooks as all of us are working. The person who cook the most is my daddy. He's the best in cooking but even that, he hardly has time to cook.
Anyway, usually I'll buy dinner home to eat. Recently, I'm very sick of outside food. Since I am incapable and lazy of cooking, I've been buying Cup Noodles and eating them for dinner.
To be frank, I am Not a Cup Noodles fan. I hardly eat them last time. I am very surprised with myself eating them so often now (around once a week for the past month).
I guess I am too lazy to cook and think about what to eat.
How about you? How often do you Eat Cup Noodles or Instant Noodles? Why do you eat them? Laziness? Preference?

Well, when I was serving national service, cup noodles is like a staple as we always get hungry at night.
Now, I do not eat them as often. I would either eat out or cook at home.
Most times I do eat out. But on those occassions where I am craving for something really good, I will go marketing to cook it.
Cooking is not difficult. It is a matter of getting it right through experience.
If you are really keen on cooking, you can easily get started with those cook books you see on sale every now and then. GO for the ones that teaches you to cook soups or via steaming. Those are the easiest to pick up.
Once you get the hang of cooking those, then moving on to the other kinds of cooking will be easy.

Yeah... soups and steam foods are the easiest to prepare and to cook. Do take pictures of your adventure in cooking. And share it here. More chances to create posting and also money!
Also, give ahgong a chance to see the results of your cooking!

I haven't had a cup of noodles in a long time because I'm severely sodium sensitive. But, I used to eat those blocks of Ramen noodles because I loved them because of they were cheap and because of the taste. So, I don't think you're lazy for making them if you really like them. I had to stop eating them years ago and I really miss them, especially when someone else makes them at work or something.

Lol, I think I'm one of the few people who really likes them. I used to crave salty foods so badly when I was younger and I think that was why I liked them. Now, I can't eat them at all, at least not right now.

I don't really cook too much either. My mother is the one that cooks and my grandma too. When I'm alone by myself and have to babysit my baby sister I just cook what I know how to cook which isn't a lot but it's enought to survive. We always buy cup noodles in our house and the other noodles because they taste good. I really like them and enjoy eating them especially with my chop sticks that were given to me by a friend.

I rarely have cup noodles..my cup noodles consume in a year could be countable with the fingers, but instant noodles that need to be cook is much more eaten by me..In a month,at least two packets of it!hehe

well, i won't call instant noodles lazy-food. i love instant noodles and there are days when i actually crave for it. it is easy to cook, but it takes skills to make a perfect bowl of noodles. i like my noodles chewy, but yet not to hard or uncooked. leaving it in the water for too long means mushy noodles. i absolutely hate mushy noodles. it took me quite a while to get the hang of handling noodles from different brands. cheers ;D

The only time I eat Cup Nooodles is when I don't have time to cook anything else, so it is because it is convenient. I am not a big fan of them either, but once in awhile I don't mind them. I only eat them about once a month, if that. But my daughter loves them and eats them often. She adds other stuff to them when she eats them, like onions and frozen vegetables, like corn or peas. Also she adds seasoning salt and sometimes garlic powder.
My husband will use a couple of them and make a pot of soup by adding other stuff to it, also, like I mentioned above, as well as some type of meat, like chicken, and eggs and lots of other vegetables. He ends up with a whole big pot of soup by the time he is finished with adding everything else. He even adds potatoes and carrots and sometimes rice, to it.

Then you must love the fact that they are so cheap. Or do you like the more expensive ones like Itchiban. I prefer the itchiban brand if I am going to eat them at all and those ones are usually close to $2 a pack but I only buy them when they are on sale, usually around $1 a pack.
I know you can buy those inexpensive ones, usually store brand ones, for 4 or 5 for a dollar. those are the ones my daughter seems to like the most.
Cheers and Happy mylotting my friend ,
Chris

I seldom take them but once awhile for convenience sake and got tired of the normal food that consist of rice and fresh noodles. And it does taste good and easy on the digestion system
I prefer not to use the packet of seasonings or the hydrogenated vegetables as I find it taste rather funny and salty. And with egg, green vegetables, chicken meat or prawns added in, it could be very nutritious & healthy too.
In fact anyone could cook this, don't have to have any skills
It's the simplest, easy and quick nutritional meal, and I am sure everyone will agree.
So it could be for those who are lazy or adventurous too. Now this got me thinking of 'Tom Yam'soup.
Cheers,

Yes, that's true , couldn't afford to have hair loss .And without it, the noodles could taste great too with other ingredients.
Happy Posting!

Wah?! It's unhealthy to be eating too much instant noodles... I've read in an article that the substance they use to stick the noodles together during packaging causes cancer. Yes, I do believe in that. And I don't eat much of these instant noodles. I admit that I do eat occasionally, it's ok to eat sometimes. But to eat everyday or often, i believe it's not healthy at all. Instant food are never that healthy. Maybe you should take a few days or weeks as break before eating the same thing. Just a friendly advice. And yes, cup noodles are indeed for lazy people. Hehe. Take care friend!

I love them! They're the perfect take-away. There are not many changes for take-away where I live. Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine have my heart and there's a big place in there reserved only for noodles.
Instant noodles then again... I used to have them for breakfast when in University. Fast, good and fulfilling.
Nowadays I don't eat noodles that often and more usually I eat them only when going out.

I don't eat them at all , however my children love them and eat them at least a couple times a month. I suppose that's as often as I buy them. I think they might be good ( or better) if you add more of the ingredient that is it's flavor such as adding real shrimp to the shrimp flavor. You can buy shrimp and chicken in a can that you could add, I am not sure about the beef.

I never really like Cup of Noodles that much. They seem to be the college students food of choice, but they are not as good at people make them out to be. If Cup of Noodles are eaten too often I heard that people can get scurvey from it.

Well, if you eat noodles with a variety of things, like vegetable, some kind of meat, and a mixture of things, you will be okay, but if you just eat them with nothing added to them, then yes, you can and will have problems.
My cousin ate a lot of Cup of Noodles, in fact, she lived on it for too long, and then one day she wasn't feeling too well, went to the doctor, and they told her that she had scurvy. Now, I know what most of you are thinking, but yes, you can get scurvy from not having a healthy diet, and eating Cup of Noodles and not balancing it out is one way of doing it.

Cup noodles?
As in literally? Those which you just open and pour hot water in?
Geez, I haven't found one that is nice.
I don't mind eating instant noodles (but I try not to eat them too often since they are not exactly the most healthy food around) but it would be the type that comes in packet form that still requires me to cook - boil a pot of water, empty content and stir.
The taste for this usually beats the literal cup noodles.

I never ever eat Cup of noodles as they are so full of
salt it would really make me ill. I have high blood pressure'
and am also salt fast so I must watch the sodium content
of the foods I eat. cup of noodles are just loaded with
sodium. so not for me.I would rather cook something good
]than feel ill from the noodles and the salt content.I
do not like cup of noodles anyway and can fix something I do like in short order.

i would not say that they are for lazy people but perhaps for people who have time contraints and need something quick and easy from time to time. i do like the taste of them and i buy them from time to time but i do some type of cooking at least once or twice daily.

I have to admit. I love both of them. I cook every day for my family and really love to do so but sometimes I get a craving for the noodles. I like the hot and spicy chicken ones.
Lazy? I don't think so....sometimes a person is tired and if it's just them and they don't have anyone else present to cook for it's kind of pointless to go through the trouble of a big meal considering only one person will be eating it.
