Why are people always arguing about abortion. I think it's just crap how people want to impose their beliefs on the government. Don't people care about the quality of a child's life after he/she is born. Don't people know that people can't afford children. They always want to say give the child up for adoption. It is not that easy. What about the lost time of work to give birth. What about rape...does anyone care about the psychological effects this could have on a women? Obviously not...I GUESS WOMEN AREN'T IMPORTANT...WE ONLY ARE HERE BECAUSE WE HAVE HOLES THAT MEN WANT TO USE AND BECAUSE WE ARE THE VESSEL TO CARRY THE CHILD RIGHT? I WOULD LIKE THIS TO BE A MINUS FREE DISCUSSION UNLESS SOMEONE HAS REALLY BROKEN A RULE FAIR WARNING: I DO HAVE A PRETTY MEAN ATITUDE..ESPECIALLY ON THIS SUBJECT...JUST TO LET YOU KNOW YOU MAY NOT LIKE WHAT I HAVE TO SAY...SO DON'T RESPOND UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET A VIRTUAL BAG OF FLAMING POOP THROWN AT YOU

I am pro choice and open minded but I would never tell a woman to have a termination. A woman might consider pregnancy termination from any of the following: - she has health problems and her life is at risk as well as her offspring - she doesn't have any financial and/or emotional support from family and friends - she was raped - she can't afford to raise a child on her own. she doesn't have support from her offspring's father - she finds out that her offspring might have health and/or physical challenges By the way, planned parenthood and other health clinics do counsel women and offer assistance to women who consider termination and they never force women to terminate. It is always a woman's choice. And people force their pro life beliefs on other people but they are not the ones who will be raising and supporting the child. They say they do not judge and people who do this will go to hell but they are the ones who are judging. How about all the unwanted children in the world who live on the streets and orphanages, who never get adopted? They live life without love and many of them become criminals. No one taught them right from wrong. No one raised them. No one supports them so they have to steal so they can eat to survive. Maybe pro life people should adopt all the unwanted children in the world. How about the women who couldn't afford abortion and they ended up giving birth and left their unwanted offspring in the dumpster to die? Adoption is also a hard choice. People don't realize how painful it is for a woman to hold a child in her arms and then she surrenders the child. She doesn't know if the child's going to have a good life or not. She will go through her life and always miss her child and cry everyday. What if she wanted her child back how is she going to support them? Not all adoptive and foster parents are good people. Some of them aren't meant to be parents either.

Thank you for the best response. It's nice to know that there are also other open minded people here. I expressed my open minded opinion on another forum and I got attacked by other pro-life people. It was crazy!

I am pro-life; no child should die whatever the reason. You talk about quality of life yet there are adoption services and children being adopted in the US and other first world countries will always have a better quality of life than in any third world country. You also talk about rape yet, I'm sorry but as sickening as it is, killing the baby doesn't take away the fact that the rape occurred. I see you feel very strongly about this subject and I want you to know that I respect your opinion and agree that taking time off work for a pregnancy makes life extremely hard although you don't need to shout to make yourself heard.

It feels as though I need to shout because I am one of those children who had a horrible life and I will pay for it for the rest of my life. Yes there are adoption agencies, but I am not carrying a baby for 9 months, holding it in my arms and then giving it away so that I can spend the rest of my life wondering about it...

You do sound like you have some really strong opinions on the matter! LOL Anyway, I always believe that there is an exception for everything. In some countries, they have this law providing rape victims assistance to "cleanse" the womb within the next 72 hours after the incident to make sure that the victim does not get pregnant.

I support pro choice. Women are humans too and I respect my girlfriend for a lady I love, not someone for holes. Dont overgeneralise please.
