Does Your Child Go With You When You Go Shopping?

My eldest son used to love going with me and my wife go shopping and buy groceries. Now that he is 6 years old he easily gets bored and would always ask us to bring him home even if we just there for an hour. What we do is promise to buy him something and buy it last so he would not be in a hurry to go home. Yeah I know it is not good, that is why we seldom ask him to go lately. I guess kids enthusiasm do change when they grow up. How about your kids? Do they still like to go with you.

yes they do. My eldest son love to go with me shoping but not helping in getting the grocery items but go to the play area in the mall. That is the reason why he wants to go because he would like to be in the play area. Even ig he has no money to buy tokens to play, he still loves to go and see what other kids are doing. He wants to stay longer in there.

oh yes they do. i have four children and they are all teens now. when they were much younger they dont like to go shopping or grocery for it would take away their time watching tv. and i think that is natural. that applies also to your child. at a certain age they like like to stay at home and play and watch tv rather than hang with us. now that my children are teens they love to go with me. well my 3 dauthers love to go shopping and my son loves to go with me at the grocery.

I do take them to the grocery with me sometimes when we go after church, I will also take them shopping with me if there is something that they need to get or ask to go.

Yes they are 4 and 2 and enjoy shopping with us however the youngest likes walking now and its actually more of a pain so i tend to send their dad alone unless I have to go its just easier!
If im in no rush im happy for them to come with us and let them take their sweet time looking at everything it can be a cheap way to pass the time lol!

I don't have a choice in whether my kids go with me or not. I usually go during the day since it is less crowded. They are both with me (6 and 2). The 2 year old rides in the buggy and the 6 year old must walk beside me. My son has learned to not complain. At least in the store. He will get in major trouble. We don't buy stuff either. IF they are lucky, I might buy a sucker or another $1 item.

I don't have children, but I do have parents. LOL Who doesn't? '-) My mother always took my siser and I shopping, when we were little. We were always extremely wel behaved, because Mom let us know what was expectd of us, when we were about to go somewhere.
