So as most of you know we have a great big Akita pup (5 months old and 50 pounds). Well when she was 3 months old she broke the tip off one of her canines. the tooth (a baby tooth) turned grey and looke nasty. Well today we found her rope ball and she was playing with it all morning (she loses her toys all the time she won't pick them up and put them away in her box). Well i was looking in her mouth and it was loose. We pulled it out and now it is with the other one in the jewelry box (what doesn't everyone save thier puppies baby teeth?). I am glad it is out of there now her grin is cute again.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww...I bet she is cute when she smiles with the missing tooth. If my dogs would stop swallowing their baby teeth, I would have them as well. Domingo and the cats are always losing their toys and then wonder why they have none to play with. lol They love cleaning day cause that's when mom finds them all and the cycle goes on.

She swallowed most of her teeth too. yeah she doesn't understand why she has no toys either. She has 3 rope toys,a rope ball, 6 tennis balls, a dumbell toy with a tennis ball on each side, and three rubber toys and a nylabone and her teddie bear. All but three are missing again.

I have the puppy teeth from two of my dogs, the other two were past the puppy stage when I found them. Keiko lost one of hers in a leg of the coffee table (I don't encourage chewing on the furniture but is was kinda cute.) Scuba on the other hand just spit a tooth out and walked away.

We discourage chewing furniture too. Yesterday shilo was chewing the leg on the dining room table, it is metal so she can't hurt it but I knew she was teething and her gums were hurting. That and she was chewing on us too lol.

I rememer the puppy we had when I was little. Mom was all in a panic when she lost her baby teeth, not realizing that dogs do that naturally. The vet told her not to worry, that just like kids, the teeth would grow back.

That is funny. I have only manage to get two of Shilo's teeth. One came out while playing with her rope bone and this one we pulled.
