This will be the year I will finally experience Winter Season. I will at last get to see and feel the snow in my hands. Coming from a tropical country makes you feel excited to experience it. Let us not think about the shoveling of the porch, okay LOL.
For those who have experienced winter, can you guys share what exciting things you do during winter. I just want to prepare myself and decide what to do come winter time.
Just Asking,
SFC

I hope you are going to be in aplace where you can actually experience snow. They getting to be fewer lately. Other than sledding and skiing my favorite thing to do in winter is to throw snowballs at targets. Like trying to hit a tree, sign etc. I was all prepared for snow last year and didn't have to use my snow shovel once!

Just like you, I come from tropical country, too.
My advice: get blankets, many of them. Don't go outdoor in the first week. Because it's gonna be far more colder than you have imagine.
Just sharing a story. I have a friend who cant go outdoor in the winter. Because her "tropical skin type" can't "accept" such a freezing temprature. Doctor said it is somekind of alergy.

I actually love the winter..I love a day that is just above zero with a gently falling snow...there is nothing more beautiful. I used to cross country ski all the time but lately haven't found anyone to go with and where I go you need someone with you. I also love building snowmen with my granddaughter......and then I love being inside making homemade soups etc. I do love winter and hope you do too!

This will be a new experience for you. I hope you like the cold. Just dress for it and it will be no problem. I live in the Rocky mountains area all my life and have experienced snow alot. Not sure where you are moving to but the driving really is not much fun. Just take it easy and leave plenty of room between you and the guy in front of you. Winter sports are so much fun, just make sure you are dressed correctly for it. Try skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tubing, making a snowman or snowwoman, snowball fights, and the best are snow angels!!!!!!!!!! It is always nice to come in from the outdoors on a snowy day and sip hot chocolate. My favorite part about the snow is how pretty it is when it is falling and afterwards when it glistens on the trees, landscape, houses etc. especially when the sun shines on it. I hope you enjoy it, it will be a different experience for you. You will have to let us all know what you think of the snow.

I am Canadian, so I know enough about snow. LOL The first thing I do that excies me when the snow falls, is get on a plane and fly to a warmer dri climate. I spend my winters in Arizona. Maybe I need to move to your country. Snow is exciting at first, but eentually it'll get in your way, and you'll get sick of i.

That's cool. I hope you really enjoy yourself. And don't forget to make a snowball. And don't eat the yellow snow, lol, but try eating snow. I've made lemon ice cones from snow when I was younger. It was very cool. The shoveling part is the only part that I don't like about winter. The beauty of the snow is so amazing so don't forget to take pictures too.
