In September my car broke down.I mean beyond any repair I could afford. Therefore we have not been going to church at the church Iam a member at.A few times we went to a church near here.Today was our Homecoming Celebration. It is the yearly church aniversairy celebration. This year was our 25th.We got a ride from relatives that only go to that church when there are musical events. It was great seeing my pastor and friends from the church, that I have not seen in a long time. There were also some people there that had not been to the church in a while because they do not live in the area any longer. We are in northern Virginia and there was a former member from Florida. Our former music minister from Tennessee and former organist from New York.We had the bluegrass gospel singers that come to the church a lot from the lower part of Viginia and some from Maryland. My grandaughter went on her first and second pony rides and went on a moon bounce for the first time.We had such a great time.Do you celebrate the church aniversairy at your church?

Yes we do, in fact we just got done celebrating our 90th year as an organized church. How far do you live from your church? I know at my church other members will come and pick you up and give you a ride to church if you want to come and don't have a way there. It so nice that you had a good time, I am happy for you.

Thats too bad, I do understand about the gas prices. I live about 12 miles from my church too, but my mom comes and gets me. If she didn't do that I would not be able to afford the gas back and forth. She has a small car and my car is a gas hog. I wouldn't ask anyone to pick me up neither because of the gas prices. Its too bad you don't live closer. Going to church is something I look forward to doing. If I lived closer I would be more active in the church.

I look forward to it also.We went every Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday's as well when we lived closer or had a car.We had Awana on Wednesday night's at church. That is nice of your mom to take you.My mom only goes to this church when they have the musical events. She goes to another church that I used to go to that is about 15 miles from them.My church is just about a mile from her house.

WOW! I am lucky to have always lived very close to my church no matter where I have lived anywhere in the world. I now live 5 minutes from my church.

You are very lucky. When we first started going to the church,we lived a mile from the church. Then at one point we lived 4 miles a way. But,the lady that we were renting from was a church member also.
