The technique has already eradicated cancer in mice that have been treated. Now the US Food and Drug Administration has approved testing in humans, and many feel that it will be just as successful. More then twenty cancer patients will be given white blood cells with cancer killing properties in an attempt to boost their immune system's fight against the deadly disease. Hundreds of donors will be recruited. Does anyone feel that we may be near finding a cure to an illness that strikes fear into the hearts of tens of thousands every day, or will this be just another of the endless disappointments that we have have seen over the years?

I'm always careful how I answer this question because I know there are a lot of people that have had cancer several years ago and are still alive today. It's not all bad but here's the deal how many dollars have actually been raised in total ? Well exacatly we'll never know the numbers. I know we have all been affected by cancer at some point. We either have it or have loved ones with it and people like me who have lost a few dear to our heart people having fought the battle to cancer. I absolutely refuse to give a dime to cancer research anymore because I fear it's a money making proposition. I know of friends from here,(Canada) that have gone to the U.S. and have been cured. Why then is there a cure there and not here? I fear we will always be loosing people to cancer and it's time to tighten up the purse strings and start giving to others as in Lou Garics (sorry I know it's spelled wrong) or huntingtons desease, etc. A cancer cure would be fabulous but I have less faith now than ever.

I'm a good person and I never wish bad on anyone but unfortunately now a days people will knock you down for coffee money, so yes I fear this is something people have to second guess. I want a cure as anyone else, but how much money will it take. Billions have been raised now.

Medical science has bee making some amazing adances, recently. I would not be surprisd if cancer was totally curd before too long. It would be ice i that could happen. Then we'd never hae to lose another loved one because of the dreaded disease.

Hi Pose123! That is wonderful news in the medical science and for the human population. I guess, I am hopeful that this will be a success and hopefully it will not cost that much and can be affordable to all people. I don't want to think that it will be just one of those disappointments. let us hope and pray that this is the Cure!
Take care and God Bless!
