Have you ever run across celebrities on mylot? Would a celebrity ever reveal his/herself on mylot? What if someone posed as a celebrity on mylot and it was a scam? Would you be duped, or would you be able to tell?

There is every chance of a celebrity to be active on mylot. these people love to learn how people think and there is no better place than mylot to do that! There are lot of them in yahoo answers, so there could be few here aswell!!

Being a celebrity is not very easy, they are the people at top so to stay on top it takes some effort, some do it effortlessly but for majority its a struggle, and they are paying a huge price for that status! Being on top means means ahead of common man, and were can they interact with common people with out much effort?? its places like mylot and various other forums. I read some where that binladen is hiding behind one of these icons, so you never know with whom you are interacting!

Hi, earncommunity, that is very interesting. Most everyone else was very negative about the possibility. But I can see your point that they might like to know how people think. That is exactly why I wondered about them, except that I would like to know how they think. They are people, too, right? But their lives can be so vastly different than other people . . . or, maybe not so different.

good day. The way I see it if a celebrity happened to be here most probably because that celebrity might be having financial difficulty so as to alleviate his/her problem or that celebrity is trying to be a writer, you can learn a lot form this site in all perspective and can hone your writing skills. By the way I'm Brad Pitt and looking for my wife whose also here Angelina Jolie..LOL

I don't think a celebrity would be interested to be here on myLot. They are busy people and they don't money to be here like me. Unless of course that celebrity is a has-been. Hehehe.

I don't think I would count anything out. It's definitely something I would be shocked to find out, and probably not very likely, but I think anything is possible. I am far from a celebrity, but I am a singer and my cd is online and I hope to have a nice amount of success in my life. I think if I was successful I would have a lot less time to spend here, but I think I would still come here even if I just stopped by for 5 minutes or whatever. But that's just me. LOL I am very loyal, so most likely I would find the time even if it meant leaving a party a little early or whatever. At the same time, I probably wouldn't tell people who I was, just because anytime a person is successful there is a risk of people selling you out to the media for a quick buck. So I tend to think that if there were any celebrities here they probably wouldn't be open about it. But I think it might be something they might want to do, not for the money but to be able to express their opinions without being under the microscope as usual.

Well, good luck with your singing career. I hope it takes off for you very well and you become one of those celebrities that are to busy to spend much time here.
Yes, that was what I was thinking, that who knows, maybe they would like to be in this type of discussion group for the chance to discuss things without being publicly scrutinized for it. They could donate any money they earn to a charity.

There would be a slim chance or better yet no chance at all to run across a celebrity in this website. Celebrities are too busy people and I'm sure they don't have free time in their every day lives anymore. If ever they do have free time, they would rather use it sleeping and resting.
Members are also not allowed to reveal oneself true identity here. Well at least that's what I have read in mylot's guidelines.
But if ever I do came across with a celebrity? I wouldn't reveal it to anyone. I'm a friend here whom everyone can trust.

Hi, I would be the same way IF they ever were on here during a night of insomnia, I would never reveal them because they would be expecting to be anonymous. But, you can't help but wonder, do they ever get on the same things on the net as we do? Could we ever be speaking to them and not even know? How cool would that be? But, I'm sure you are right. They don't have the time for such fun!
