Gas prices!! Costing me too much money.

I used to live in California around 2001 and then I moved out. At that time, the gas price was around $2 per gallon for the 97 octane. And then I was back there around 2003 and the price was around $2.30 per gallon. Now, it is more than $4 per gallon which is doubled than before. On my place, the gas price is about $4 also for the 98 octane. For the low octane gas, the price is around $2.60 per gallon. It is being subsidized by the government, so it is cheap.
